What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

leftover pork tenderloin ( no idea when I Cooke that, hoping it wasn’t too long ago)
At a guess, that would have been last friday, so you're perfectly safe! :hilarious:

At least I hope it wasn't the pork tenderloin you cooked on feb 25, dec 24, nov 22, or even july 13 2018 on reduced price... :wideyed:

Despite my plans, I decided I could postpone shopping for another day. Found a nice burger in the freezer, veggies was an easy choice, as the only veggies left were onions and tomatoes, and half a rather sorry looking cucumber.
Had the burger on a slice of LC bread with lots of fried onions and tomatoes, and a slice of cheese (yes, there's a pretty large burger underneath!).
Made a tomato and cucumber salad with onions to go with it but it turned out the burger was enough to fill me up :). No problem, the salad will still taste fine tomorrow! And to be honest, a salad of exactly the same stuff as the warm part of the meal is a bit boring :D.

First day of a week away so food will be different from my usual choices (except I have bought SF jellies and my LC granolas with me and breakfast of course will be the same!)
Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: chicken bites, a few strawberries and a Carb Killa bar
Afternoon: black coffee and some Hotel Chocolat dark choc brazils
Dinner Chinese take away: crispy duck, 3 small pancakes, a smidge of sauce and veggies followed by SF orange jelly, cream and LC chocolate and ginger granola.

28.06.
Breakfast 2xCWC, nut granola
CwC
Lunch: salad, camembert, cup of tea
Couple of hot drinks in the afternoon, we were very busy moving all our stuff upstairs. The downstairs room we have been sleeping in has already been partially cleared. Grotty lino is gone, and some of the wallpaper.
Dinner oven cooked fish and chips, (11g carbs in the fish) just a few chips for me, brocolli and peas, again only a few peas. 2 glasses of wine,
Edited to add:
Don't know how I forgot,
small bowl of raspberries from our own garden. Previously have only had 7 or 8 in a day. Naturally served with cream.
CWC
Lemon tea

I was bad yesterday. It was a celebration day for my partner so we went away.

Breakfast was a sausage and egg McMuffin. When we stopped, I accidentally had an oat latte which was my own stupid fault.

Lunch was a Wetherspoons mixed grill with a handful of chips.

Dinner was a bacon cheeseburger at the races, which was really lovely.

I also had a mixed cocktail, which I am not sure what was in it but the guy said it was the lowest sugar one he could make. Coupled with the 20,000+ steps, I've woken up exhausted and with quite a low fasting blood reading (4.6).

Still, as a special day, I don't regret it. Just means now until next week, I am back on it properly and fully committed

Sunday 27 June - bed 7.1 FBG 6.8 so I didn't suffer too much for the pastry. Swimming lesson day.

B. 2 slices of SLC toast with egg mayo.
L. At swimming lessons.
D. Usual campari and soda. Duck breast with a mix of spinach, broccoli, peas, corn and green beans. 1/2 a roast potato and mushrooms. Grenade Ice cream bar.

Happy anniversary!

Looking at your avatar and reading jujitsu : O

28 June - bed 6.8 FBG 7.2. Thank you for the good wishes. I'm still wondering where 46 years has gone.
On the day Scotland was confirmed with the highest number of covid cases per 100k in the entire pandemic, I received an invite to take a covid antibody test. It's thanks to the KCL/Zoe covid study I've participated in since the start. Quite happy to do it as I had no chance of being tested when I first fell ill last year and I was told an antibody test would be a waste of time after 24 weeks of illness. In fact, it's because you could not (and still cannot) get an antibody test in Scotland unless you are NHS. All the paperwork is done and I await the test.

B. TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with ox tongue and Dairylea.
L. A grenade ice cream bar.
D. GF sausages, fried egg, slice of GF black pudding, slice back bacon and a cauliflower kind of rosti thing. Last of the Whey Hey salted caramel ice cream I got in M&S.

The other bit of excitement yesterday was the discovery of a large wasp nest in the storage box behind our shed. Lunch time consisted of a journey around various locations to get the foam to dispose of the angry blighters! Got to love the instructions - No 1 - sneak up on them at night!
It is now an EX Nest I'm glad to say. It was about the size of a football.

Here we go again. @maglil belated congrats on 46 year anniversary and good luck with the antibody test. @Antje77 that is some impressive recall lol. @garyclark82 that really was The Great Escape well done! Sounds like a brilliant day.
Yesterday and today same brekkie and lunch. Slice HiLo toast & tea. Rollitos, spoon coleslaw, chopped cucumber. Supper yesterday was tomato & basil omelette eaten an hour earlier to try to help bad run of FBG. Tonight will be 3 Waitrose No 1 high meat sausages (1.1g each) and handful celeriac chips. I would love to have ketchup with my sausage & chips but thankfully none in the house!

Breakfast today was ham, wilted spinach and poached eggs. Broke one of the yolks and felt glum. Dropped another egg on the floor accidentally, but luckily the resident spillage cleaner jumped into action and the whole lot was lapped up ( shell too) by Dennis.
Lunch, post workout, was Turkey salad then a DGF raspberry bakewell.
Dinner will be a pork and spinach curry https://twosleevers.com/pork-curry/ it’s cooking now and smells divine.
@maglil55 I’ve also been doing the Zoe C19 app - they’ve accumulated such a lot of useful info, have you listened to any of the podcasts? Glad you managed to get rid of the wasps nest promptly.
@PenguinMum those Waitrose sausages are great aren’t they? I fill the freezer whenever I take a trip out to Waitrose.
@garyclark82 that was a great result after your celebration day, I guess all the walking really helped.

Breakfast:
12 Oz coffee w/ Splenda and cream
1 pkg pb and honey crackers
Two Good Mixed Berry Greek Yogurt

Lunch:
.25 cup diced chicken
.5 cup mashed potatoes
Sliced cucumber
.25 c blueberries
.25 cup strawberries
.25 cup half and half

Breakfast: a bit early today - I was hungry. Bacon and eggs, my favourite breakfast.

2nd meal: about 3.30. Home made pork sausages and onions fried in butter. I still don't have the recipe right for the sausages, but they are getting better. This time I added some streaky bacon, garlic powder, onion granules, sumac and basil. It is the same method I use to make chorizo, but that works better. The reason for that, I think, is that I use the chorizo raw in recipes but I cooked the pork sausages. They were perfectly edible, but they could be better. I'll keep trying. It must be possible - on the Continent they make sausage and black pudding with no carbohydrate, so it must be possible.

Shouldn't need anything else to eat today, but will be above my normal target for fluids - mostly tea.

My Libre is showing that my average readings are much higher in the morning, but after lunch BGs drop to a more reasonable level usually. This is despite taking a correction dose on many days to bring it down.

ALERT contains addictive recipes

B: the usual ff greek with seeds and strawberries
L: Aagh! No eggs in house -how did that happen? Luckily found 2 slices of lc soda bread in the freezer. Ate with cheese and a tablespoon coleslaw
Mid afternoon: h/m Marmite nuts, far too many! (1 or 2 teaspoons marmite mixed with same amount of water. Stir though 200g nuts of choice. Spread on lined baking tray. Bake 180° for 10-15 minutes but watch carefully as they catch easily. Wait a day before eating (if you can, and store in airtight container if you don't eat them all)
D: cold beef, carrots. 1 small scoop rum raisin icecream with double cream poured over. Cream seemed to stop it tasting so sweet - that's my excuse and it was lovely

Spicy Mexican sausages, cheese omelette, tomatoes for breakfast.
Prawns and salad low carb wraps for lunch.
Curried beef and veggies for dinner.

It will be the last time I eat the really hot spicy, chilli, curry meals as I been warned that I might have some bad reactions as it goes through the system now. Mild stuff is ok I think I will have to find out next time I see the oncology doc at the base hospital.

Those sound heavenly! I hope I have some unsalted nuts laying around somewhere. If so, it's on tomorrow's to do list!

Was late getting up and not really with it.
Breakfast, CWC, nut granola.
Shopping, somehow was stressful and exhausting and we only went to one shop!
CWC and cake
The neighbours cat came by while we had our coffee, Errant watched very carefully, to make sure she took no liberties. Then, after we had finished our coffee, he followed her calling every few steps. Not sure what he was saying, but when he got to about two metres away, she spat at him and legged it.
Lunch. Salad, camembert. Slice of prosciutto with Mediterranean herbs( very nice)MrSlim graciously allowed me to steal the crusty end off his loaf. Must have weighed all of 25g. Cup of tea.
Weeded the hedge, well I pulled out all the nettles and goosegrass, MrSlim will get the rest with the strimmer.
Tea in the afternoon. Hoed up the seedling weeds around my cauliflowers and then planted some basil seeds around them. Apparently basil has such a strong aroma that the pests looking for cauliflower are much less likely to find them. Then used a pickaxe to dig up a few more weeds from the drive.
Dinner cod, mushrooms, roasted cauliflower few peas, about a teaspoonful, carrots and hollandaise sauce. Raspberries. 2 glasses of rosé,
CWC.
Lemon tea later.
Time to take the cat out. Why can't he go on his own? Big girls blouse! says MrSlim.
