What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Appetite returned. Wish it could be Sunday every day.
breakfast late: egg, bacon, sausage, white pudding, mushroom, black coffee.
more black coffee throughout the day.
dinner, beef brisket, slow cooked. It was rathervfatty, which is generally ok, but much fat rendered off during cooking, leaving about 250g of dripping from a 1.3kg chunk of meat, and lots of solid fat but mot much meat on the cuts. Not best pleased, and will have a word with the (usually excellent) butcher. cauliflower mash, broccoli, gravy, 2 large glasses Malbec.
Nice and mellow. The food and me.:D

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and a phd bar.
Tea at ILs: cold meat, cheese and salad buffet followed by one Jaffa cake!

Rib steak, butter mushroom sauce for breakfast.
Pork loin chops, mashed green veggies, pan juice gravy for lunch.
Cheese on toast for supper at six.

Glass of single malt before a earlly night going to bed.

I don't feel like eating at the moment, and have to force myself to eat something. Going onto a sloppy food diet might be the go, as it will slide down down the tubes quickerer.

Morning all. Have a chest infection (again) and don't think I'll be eating much today. @Maglil and @Annb, hope you are both feeling better
Thanks Rosemary. Sorry to hear you have a chest infection. Do take care. Time to pamper yourself, if you can.

Made a kind of fry up for Em to select what she wanted for breakfast. She chose a bacon sandwich, which left me with 2 sausages, 2 rashers of bacon and 2 fried eggs. That should keep me going for quite a while. Unfortunately, I broke the yolks of both eggs. I hate doing that. Also unfortunately, my BG before hand was 16.9. Still, there was precious little carb in the breakfast feast, so it might be allright.

Lunch will be more of the veg soup and dinner will be some salmon.

Breakfast was an omelette filled with cream cheese and smoked salmon - a delicious combo. Dollop of traditional sauerkraut on the side.
Feeling cold and glum today so a lot of unnecessary snacking:
DGF cake, SLC not cross bun, handful of nuts, some Brie.
Dinner- kobi keema followed by a mini bar of Montezuma’s Absolute black. 1 glass red. IMG_1465.jpg

At a friend’s for the day today, but diet was no problem as my friend is type 2 too and familiar with low carb eating
Started with my usual breakfast at home.
Lunch 1/2 an avocado filled with prawns and mayo with a leafy salad followed by a carb killa bar.
Dinner salmon in lemon and garlic butter with green beans, courgette and roasted baby tomatoes followed by DGF lemon drizzle cake with cream.

Leftovers day. :)

Saturdays spicy green beans and leftovers from yesterdays Sinterklaas celebration: the last falafel and 3 very tasty cheese things coated in a cornflakes crust with zaziki. Nailed the dosing for that as well, and still a low carb meal.
Added a burger from the freezer on a bit of endive, topped with fried camembert pieces and some leftover spicy dipping sauce.
We had the camembert yesterday from the oven to dip bell pepper in, so the leftover thing in my fridge looks like a slaughtered mess but you don't see that if you chop it and throw a few pieces in the frying pan at the last minute. :joyful:

Bacon and two egg and cheese omelette, mushrooms, tomatoes for breakfast.

Liver and bacon and fried onion, small portion mashed veggies, mushroom butter sauce for supper at six.

Catching up after being away for a few weeks... A lot of celebratory meals so BG was up throughout, but kept it in the 6's. Back home now, an back to one meal per day. BG staying between 4.5 and 5.5.
Yesterday skipped all meals except dinner. Pork chop, mushrooms with cream sauce, Kale... Then I fell off the wagon and had 1/3 of a chocolate truffle... Could not resist it! BG 5.3 before bed and 5.4 on waking today.

Yesterday meals were ...Breakfast usual bacon eggs and wholemeal rolls (1and 1/2 ) coffee( roughly 42 carbs)
Lunch tuna fish ( tinned ) salad and black olives fresh garlic and a wholemeal roll (25 carbs )
Evening meal grilled chicken thighs broccoli and cauliflower mashed with stilton and cheddar cheese , bit of h/m tomato chutney and a few walnuts .( 10 carbs ) FBG this morning was 6.2 :)

Breakfast was half a bacon sandwich which Em left, having changed her mind and decided to have a sausage sandwich instead.
Lunch was a bowl of veg soup.
Dinner will be sausage casserole which I made earlier today, having broken out the pack of sausages for Em.
BG started out reasonably in the 7's but rose rapidly to 14.9 by mid morning. Took a correction dose before it got out of hand and it came down to 12.8 before lunch and back to the 7's in mid afternoon. Very hungry just now but I'll wait until Em's dad picks her up beforere heating the casserole.

Tuesday 6 December bed 7 FBG 6.4. Eldest grandson back at school after his sickness bug. He has another day off on Thursday as the schools are on strike again. It's quite handy as that's the day I have to bus to the dentist. Youngest just generally excited as he has loads of Christmas events coming up.

B. TAG and a bowl of paleo granola with sugar free coconut milk.

L. 2 slices of SLC toast with ham and mustard and a vegetable bouillon. Must later, a CC snowconut stick.

D. I'd removed chicken legs from the freezervyesterday. Browned them, the added to a casserole with courgette, onion, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, and chilli. Cooked slowly in the oven and I had it with roasted cauliflower. 20221206_185024.jpg
