Hug for those kids. All the important folk at the wreath laying ceremony in London were wearing big, heavy coats to keep the cold out. Whoever was organising those children should, perhaps, have thought of that. I know they want to be in uniform but I doubt if those poor kids were thinking very much about the people who had given life and limb for their country.B: cwc, 1 hard boiled egg
Managed to time the dog walk to coincide with the Remembrance parade, on top of a hill. So cold most of the Brownies and Cubs ended up in tears! We had dressed for the weather and walk so were warm to start with but were cold by the end. The kids were only in sweat shirts.

L: rump steak with broccoli and mixed veg. Too many tastes of a cinnamon roll.
D: little cheese, sauerkraut and pickled cabbage. Strawberries, walnuts, chopped 85% chocolate and a tablespoon greek yoghurt.

Used 90 second bread coconut flour batter but fried it in some bacon fat left over from yesterday and had it with scrambled egg. Worked quite well as a breakfast, as long as I don't think of it as a substitute for bread.
2nd meal will be some more of the fish pie. Yesterday I had half of it, but it was far too much so today I will have half of the remaining half. Neil isn't feeling up to going shopping today so I'm short on veg so it will be on its own. Still there are a few vegetables in it.
Slightly overbaked 'fish fillet a la bordelaise' (Aldi, 8.something grams of carbs for a 200 gram portion) and a salad of cucumber, raw onion, endive and olives. Dressing was the leftover spicy mayo and yoghurt based garlic sauce that went with my shawarma yesterday with added salt and balsamic vinegar.
The combination of mayo and balsamic vinegar never gives a salad an appetising look, but it does taste good!
I also bought my neoprene swimming shoes today, and ordered the gloves which weren't available at the store.
And I bought one of those bright orange inflatable swimming buoys!
I think I'll feel much safer using it. Should I go hypo while swimming, I can just hold on to it and let one of the others push me back to shore instead of burning more glucose by swimming.
And I can take something sweet with me attatched to the buoy.
I don't think it'll make much of a difference, I'm only in the water for minutes right now, but psychologically it may make a real difference, even if it means I end up higher than I like because I took some extra sugar to swim a little farther away from safety.
So far, I went back quicker than I wanted every time for fear of hypos.
