Yikes! The lentil would do too much damage, the Ginster's pasty - no thanks anyway, which leaves the Tuscan bean concoction. If they haven't pureed the beans into it, it may be possible to eat some and avoid the beans. Take your own bread. If it's pureed.."Can I have 2 glasses of wine, please, since none of your options suit my dietary requirements?"Advice please: I’m going to a charity Christmas fair at the Eden Project on Thurs. tickets cost £20 which includes a ‘light lunch’ and glass of wine. They’ve just emailed the lunch options. What on earth am I going to choose? View attachment 64428
Their other options are not much better, 1/2 a kg or 1 kg!Thanks for the research but I wouldn't want 10 packets at a time, they're a very occasional item (for me). Have to be in the right mood
Thanks for your speedy responses. @Annb @shelley262 @Antje77 (and another excellent BG result after the onions!) @PenguinMum ( your reply really made me laugh, I’m just not brave enough to do that though!)
I’ve already paid for the ticket so that’s a done deal and I can’t not go as I’m going with a friend for a day out and a bit of Christmas shopping. There are some good stall holders booked there apparently.
I expect the middle of the pasty will be mixed with lots of potatoes and onion, so unlikely to do my bg much good.
I think taking a lc snack with me might be the best option. I don’t want to not eat anything, I think that’d make my friend feel awkward and she might not enjoy her lunch if I’m not eating.
I’m glad they thought to email the lunch options, it was a bit of a shock but at least now I can be prepared. Thanks all.
You're having such a difficult time @maglil55. Some of it may be that you are over-tiring yourself with all the running around you do after your family. I, for one, wouldn't criticise you for that, but couldn't you find a little time, somewhere, for yourself to relieve the pressure? Hug for your grandson with theTuesday 21 November - bed 8.1 FBG 7.7. @JenniferM55 - it sure is doing the rounds. The youngest grandson has gone down with norovirus, DIL has succumbed to it, one of the eldest's grandson's Guinea Pigs passed away (which resulted in a funeral service beside her mother & auntie Guinea pigs), and the rest of us are awaiting contamination!

If you are doing plenty strolling around, your bloods might perform more favourably than usual?
For me, none of those options would ever have been my choice (from a choice of everything), but, personally, provided it was gluten free, I might choose one of the soup options, and wing it. It's one day.
Garage hasn't done the MOT yet. They say the brakes need new parts, which will take a day or three to come. While they're at it they will fix the windscreen washer, which I didn't know was faulty and they'll fix the electric windows, which we did know about. Total is going to be in the hundreds. No choice but to keep going though.B- boiled eggs mashed with butter.
L- the liver from yesterday’s chicken, fried in butter, a couple of Edam ‘crackers’ and way too many almonds. DGF Crimbo Crumble.
D- Rump steak ( the last of the defrosted freezer steaks) from local ‘pastured for life’ beef farm. Garlic mushrooms and spinach. Followed by Montezuma’s Absolute Black with almonds.
@Annb fingers crossed for the MOT, my car has cost me a small fortune this year, everything seems to be wearing out at once. View attachment 64450
