What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Not keen on lettuce? @RosemaryJackson. Why not try rocket, chicory, lamb's lettuce, mustard cress, sweet cicely, water cress or baby spinach leaves instead?

Back to my usual routine today!

Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and an Aldi protein bar.
Dinner: cheese and mushroom omelette.

Oh and I meant to post this grain free low carb granola I noticed in a very large M&S Food Store on my travels. Yet to check in my small M&S Simply Food to see if they stock it.

Thanks for posting this, i shall look out for it. I bet it would make a lovely crunchy topping for Greek yoghurt.

Today I had scrambled eggs sprinkled with dukkah and a sliced avocado for breakfast.
Lunch was a pack of olives - the only suitable thing in a cafe that sold 6 different types of pasty.
Dinner was grilled gammon steak with cauli cheese. The cheese sauce was the scooped out middle of a baked Camembert. It was so stinky it had been relegated to the garage 2 days ago but made a tasty cauliflower topper.

Coffee and cream x 2
Coffee and unsweetened almond milk
Cambazola and tomato
Cottage Cheese and tomato
Corned Beef
Gouda.... seems to have been a day of cheeses.

Today, on the hottest day of the year so far (in the UK), I had a chicken & mushroom curry, surrounded by a small ring of basmati rice. I made the curry yesterday. From scratch. No jars were harmed in the making of this curry. And while the recipe, that I loosely followed, didn't mention cinnamon, I was glad I put some in. It wasn't that hot, but I enjoyed it.

I often add a cinnamon stick or two to my cauliflower rice @IanBish together with some black cardamom seeds, if it's to be served with an Indian dish.
