Bed 6.1 FBG 5.5. Strange day. Having been used to taking No 1 grandson to swimming for nearly 5 years it was odd to have my first weekend where I didn't have to get up. Of course, body is tuned into awake time so still got up! Did go shopping earlier though.
B. Slice Hovis lower carb seeded with Lurpack and pate pate the fruity one. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. After shopping retired to the garden (lovely day) with a Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream and 10 of these highly addictive salami crisps.
D. Slice each of pork and chicken breast. Lettuce, 4 Santini tomatoes, 1/2 avocado, cheese coleslaw, 2 Walnuts and Helmanns. Oh and 1 boiled beetroot.
Scoop of Halo Top and 2 strawberries.

Thought after shopping I'd get peace- no such luck. Son and DIL working on their garden so I was enlisted for a trip to B&Q to get gas for the BBQ and garden furniture. Boys got their own mini table and benches.

What a glorious gardening day!
Planting, repotting, weeding, herding supervisory dogs, tidying up and tripping over sleeping dogs.
Got one of the day lilies in. Two to go.
The strawberries are looking fab.
I will be eating them, even if they give me a gippie tum.

1pm bacon and brie with the merest smear of cranberry. Umm, poss 75g brie and 3 rashers.
4pm too many salami crisps with cream cheese.
7pm cheesy mince AGAIN. Mr B’s request. He does love eating the same thing a bit too often for my taste. Says the woman who has bought a truckload of ribs. Again. But that’s different. ;)

The mince was 750g and 200g cheese which made 4 portions, so under 200g meat and 50g cheese/person.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream (2 tsp) washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: Skinny Cafè pancake with bacon and SF maple syrup followed by Greek yoghurt and blueberries.
Mid-afternoon: visit to Nero’s for a regular cappuccino and smuggled in phd peanut bar.
Dinner: 1/2 tub of Tesco prawn cocktail with salad of raw cauliflower, broccoli and celery, pork scratchings and coleslaw followed by warm olive oil chocolate cake with extra thick double cream.

Edit for a typo!

Did it take practice? I offered a piece to my hubby today but he wants nothing to do with 100%.

Definitely! First time I went near 100% (well actually it was Lindt 99%) I couldn’t stand it. Gradually my palette has changed and even 85% tastes quite sweet.

Hi all. A fishy day today.

Breakfast - none

Lunch - cod loin wrapped in Serrano ham baked and served with buttered cabbage

Dinner - packed meal at the women’s FA Cup Final (the wrong team won). Lidl protein roll with smoked salmon and cream cheese. 65g bag of salted almonds.

After a gym visit (was a full 2 weeks since last visit) and 20,000 steps am feeling peckish but it’s a bit late to eat.

Hope everyone enjoyed the lovely sunshine today!

I'm only now getting around to eating because I've been so busy. I planned to make Fathead pizza for the first time, but I don't think I did it correctly, as it just fell apart and was extremely eggy. I will persist! Backup dinner was two low carb bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese, and an Adonis blondie for dessert (I'm addicted!).

Evening - if anyone is still awake.
Funny old day today.
B: Greek yoghurt, strawberries and pumpkin seeds

Spring cleaning continues.

L: went to local brasserie and had poached egg and parmesan on grilled asparagus with a sort of hollandaise sauce around it which tasted delicious. Small glass of Shiraz

Vigorous gardening in the afternoon then daughter phoned from leisure centre she works at to suggest we go there at 7 when it shuts to have an after hours swim in the open air ( heated ) lido. Great idea but I suddenly felt very hungry so thought I’d have a quick snack before going and found I couldn’t stop eating! Bag of pork scratchings, Handful of macadamia nuts, 2 HC buttons, another handful of nuts, coffee with cream, another handful of nuts and 3 HC buttons and finally ate the last of the almond butter out of the pot with a spoon! Quite atonished at my greed.
Went to the lido and found that daughter’s idea of a heated pool is very different to mine. Gamely swam a few lengths so as not to seem ungrateful then warmed up in the sauna.
Got home and we were all starving again( she had just done a 12 hr shift so not surprising she was hungry, but no excuse for me!) so made a quick carbonara with courgetti. Now I’m sitting here with a glass of red and wondering what happened in that funny 1/2 hr of non stop eating.
Hope I manage a bit more self control tomorrow. @Goonergal I’d have eaten a lot more than 60g chocolate if I’d opened a bar.

@vanillapie I love the Adonis blondies too

I’m off to the seaside for a couple of days tomorrow after an early lunch, so dinner tomorrow night and all three meals on Monday will be eating out! Yikes! Wish me luck!

Good luck! You’ve picked a brilliant couple of days to go to the coast.

@DJC3 can completely relate to the mini bout of eating. Happens to me sometimes when I’ve planned a 23/1 fast and then find myself hungry at lunchtime and eat way more than I would have done if a meal had been planned. Think it’s the body’s way of letting you know it needs to be fed and if occasional doesn’t do any harm. Well done on braving the cold pool!

@Rachox enjoy your time by the coast.

You'll get it eventually. My first mix was crumbly at the edges. Second lot of dough was right but I forgot to stab it with a fork and it puffed up to quite a size. No problem , turned it over and added fillings to the other side. I use the dough hook on the Kenwood to mix mine now. It should look like playdoh when mixed. I also roll the dough between 2 sheets of greaseproof. I usually double the batch and wrap half in the top sheet of greaseproof and keep in the fridge. The other half roll out (stab with a fork) and blind cook on the greaseproof on a baking tray.
I can knock the dough together quite quickly now.

Mine was so sticky that it just didn't work. Maybe not enough almond flour? Thanks for the tips - I will definitely try a dough hook next time!

Oil your hands before you roll it. Shouldn't be sticky. It's just a bit too wet if it is sticky.

Bed 6.3 FBG 6.1. Well been at new swimming lessons with the boys. They were complaining the pool was cold ; We were sweltering in the viewing area!
Went reasonably well and should have them knocked into the new routine by next week.
B. A fishy leftover of prawns and tuna from 2 days ago. Lettuce, 4 Santini tomatoes and 2 Walnuts. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Back from hearding cats (well it would be easier than dealing with the 2 boys with a new swimming pool and new routine). Glorious day so sitting in the garden with a campari and soda and a bowl of salami crisps. Oh how I love them. Hubby didn t want any so I was forced to eat them all.
D. Chicken cordon blue. Chicken is being filled with ham and grated gryuere. Crumb is a mix of ground pork scratching, parmesan and parsley.
Having with spinach , mushrooms and a mini cob.
So hot I will have to have Halo Top and raspberries. ( and I've just dislodged a filling. Ah well another dental appointment required).

Glorious day in old London town and just back from a couple of food-filled days at the seaside - fortunately not all bad but some obligatory ice cream and fish and chips.
B. 2 egg omelette made with fresh chives and marjoram.
L. Mini seeded flatbread filled with smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers. Lots of cashews and peanuts.
Snack. Pint of bitter in pub garden
D. Small grilled tuna steak, salad, remnants of purple flowering broccoli and Swiss chard from the garden.
Lots of gardening and a short walk to the pub and back.
Happy Bank holiday to those in UK!
