What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Evening all a sort of ‘bitty’ day getting things sorted for mums return including baking her some low carb goodies to take home. She’s now addicted to my lC seeded crispbreads so I’ve done a tin full for her as they seem to stay crisp for ages if kept in air tight container. I now can’t imagine how I coped without them - seem to be part of my daily diet! They are also great fibre!
Breakfast sausage, bacon and egg
Lunch LC seeded crispbreads with some cheese and a small taster slice of lo dough quiche- done for picnic lunch on way to York’s tomorrow - I was really surprised just how delicious it was tbh and mum and OH agreed
Dinner lamb loin chop on bed of cauliflower mash served with broccoli and glass red wine later sf jelly and yoghurt
Edited to add forgot to put in me and mum had a scoop of halo top ice cream mid pm not tried before it arrived in delivery today as was half price from Ocado - delicious had a bit of vanilla and a bit of mint choc.

My appetite really has disappeared and I'm just not hungry! It's a great feeling.
Anyway, here's what I've eaten today
a handful of roasted, salted almonds at about 2pm
Ribeye steak and home made ratatouille with lots of cheese for dinner. I was dubious about tomatoes for a long while but they do not seem to raise me very much so ratatouille is a regular on my menu.

Also, had a reading of 5.4 before dinner! Very happy about that but just wish my vision would sort itself out.

Evening all. Rainy McRainface came back today added to Mr Levy keeping his wallet shut made for a wasted day. Next 3 days will involve travelling to and from Southampton - not on my list of pleasures even with 2 granddaughters to see. Hopefully 2nd exercise bike workout of the day may release endorphins and mellow me a little. Food list below - I did enjoy that though:

Breakfast 2 x 1.5 pint mugs tea
Mid morning snack: 2 pints tea; 1 had 2 tsps inulin
Lunch: H/M High fibre chocky bar 2 dessert spoons Fage 5%; 2 pints tea with almond milk
Afternoon snack: 2 pints Water
Evening meal: 2 Chicken thighs; salad; chia seeds; h/m mayo; water
Update: Enjoyed the ex bike workout and am enjoying the athletics.

Evening all.

@purplepenguin I’ve gone in the opposite direction. Been unusually hungry for the last few days.

Breakfast - really hungry shortly after arriving at work so ate a 42g bag of salted almonds

Lunch - Nando’s. Plain chicken leg, 3 plain wings and half an avocado. Followed up by a raid on the office snack drawer - 20g of Valrhona 85% chocolate and 25g Trader Joe’s 85% chocolate

Dinner - pan fried sea bass fillet with buttered cabbage

@Goonergal You are refuelling after the triathlon day - Sunday? Nice menu. BTW, I just ate an amazing flaxseed and inulin toffee biscuit. Mrs P took pictures but they were not very clear so I won't attach. The rest are setting in the fridge so I will post images another day.

Yes, it was Sunday! Biscuit sounds good. If I can bear the embarrassment I’ll post a picture of my ever growing chocolate ‘drawer’ in the fridge.

Doubt your drawer will beat the 2.5 kgs Callebaut we recently replaced:angelic:

I also admit to an amazing stash in my fridge of hotel chocolate bars and chocs all low carb and bought by my chaps for my birthday I just need to try and guard them from nibbling by the chaps who gave them to me! Maybe a photo competition @Goonergal !

Evening everyone, promised rain arrived but just a sharp shower, much cooler though and already drawing in!
Coffee with cream when I got up
B Peanut butter smoothie when I got to work
L cold sausage left over from yesterday, cucumber, peppers and pork loin slices wrapped around Bishop Cropwell cheese, dip of M&S whipped cream cheese and 2 Keto cheese crackers
Frothy coffee when I got gone
D baked eggs with remaining sausage, peppers and cheese

Here goes. This is minus the Hotel Chocolat buttons, which are not in the fridge.

How about a new thread ‘how much chocolate have you bought/eaten today’?

Evening all
My numbers have been gradually increasing over the last week or so - since Ive been in Cornwall really. I’m putting it down to a drop in exercise - no exercise bike here and a lot of time spent sitting in sunny gardens chatting and drinking wine. Eldest daughter drinks mostly white but said she’ll buy red for me now after I told her my sugars were going up. What a thoughtful girl.

B: none, in an effort to reverse the trend I missed breakfast today and Tues.

L: at local pub, chicken fajitas without the fajitas. Had extra salad and mayo with the sizzling chicken, plus of course sour cream and guacamole.

D: Pork joint done in IP!!!
A resounding success! Thumbs up from Mr C, youngest daughter and her boyfriend. The recipe I used cooks the joint on a bed of veg ( cauli, onion, celery, garlic) which are all then liquidised at the end and added to sauteed mushrooms to make the sauce.
Question to IP owners - how do you wash the lid? Is it ok to submerge the whole thing in water or just wipe it out?

I also have buttons in cupboard but think you beat me! We will need chocolate though as weather cools!

I’ve looked at most of those Hotel Chocolat bars you have - lots of theirs have surprisingly high carb counts, but the ones you have are the lower end. Any recommendations?

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: halloumi chips with cauliflower, broccoli and red onion salad followed by Greek yoghurt and raspberries.
Mid afternoon: lemon chia pudding and black coffee.
Dinner: cheese and mushroom omelette with cauliflower, broccoli and yellow pepper salad followed by blackberries (picked this afternoon in the local park :hungry:) vanilla Oppo and a spoonful of low carb chocolate granola.

The going nuts are 4.2 grams each choc so a bit high however they are big and a really luxurious treat and rich so could only manage one. Illegal giandujs are 4.5 grams each
Lowest bars are their 90 percent bars which are 13.8 per 100g compared to the 100% Ecuadorean which is 29.3 g per 100g compared to their 80% supermilk which is 27.6g per 100.
Not tried them yet.
Chaps bought them very carefully and so appreciate it not sure if I’d have bought some of them but will be aware when eat them. Portion control will be important! It is interesting how a 100% bar can be double carb count of a 90% dark bar! You really do need to check the smallprint
