What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

On waking - just tea
Breakfast - toast and peanut butter, coffee with cream

Lunch - (yo sushi treat after having my eyes tested) teriyaki beef, prawn and chicken Katsu and edamame beans - not a grain of rice in sight!

Dinner - salmon on a plateful of veg (courgettes, broccoli, peppers and baby corn)
Home made LC 85% choc mousse and strawberries

I have to say looking back on my daily food diaries I never thought low carb was going to be this pleasant

Been a great day
a sliver of a cinnamon bun the size of a butter knife that had been cut in half, the knife not the bun. OHHH it was a tiny bit anyway!
A yummy bratwurst with sauerkraut
Braised celery using Delia online recipe with a few slices of lamb. Recommend the recipe a lot

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: cold roast chicken with cauliflower and broccoli salad followed by Greek yoghurt and raspberries.
Mid afternoon: coffee with raspberry phd bar.
Dinner at local pub: gammon, eggs, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage and peas followed by coffee and cream. Then back in our tree house (wedding anniversary break) SF jelly, cream and chocolate granola and 1/4 glass of prosecco! (I don’t usually drink :wideyed:)

I seem to be having a run of late night/very early morning breakfasts: this one a sort of raw muffin mix of cocoa, powdered erythritol, hazelnut meal , crunchy hazelnut butter and a little hazelnut oil. Cocoa with cream to drink

Lunch Westphalian ham and green olives with Gouda cubes "marinaded" in olive oil and cumin seeds. Last of my blueberries with Greek yoghurt , Turmeric tea with a tiny bit of truvia.

Dinner - 100% beef burger dismembered and transmogrified into half a dozen meat balls (don't ask - just fancied some!!) baked with mixed olives and their olive oil and herby liquid, and a baby food tomato & basil sauce which I discovered accidentally when it was on offer, and is both yummy and extra low carb with no added sugar. Served with green stringless beans and topped with parmesan shavings. Followed by a golden kiwi oand cinnamon tea.

Several helpings of Lindt choccy and not enough water going in and probably too much going out... A skin pinch test says I'm not dehydrated but my eyes feel dry & sore in spite of their regular drops..

Breakfast : Swimming lesson - too much pool
Lunch : 40-45 gms cheddar; 1 slice brunswick ham; 2 slices corned beef all from W 4 cherry tomatoes (ours)
Mid Afternoon: Wether ... white coffee; W ..se Americano
Evening meal: Bacon; sausage; W egg , tomato (ours) mushroom (whole - well it starts with W)
@DCUKMod I like that website and some of those recipes look good BUT no IP. Won't you be excommunicated?:angelic:

Oh not everything needs to be IP, but if you're missing it, you could try something appropriate from there. :) :

Evenin’ All

Today was a momentous day! Mr B nipped to Tescos last night after thrashing some poor victim at snooker. He decided to celebrate by buying me a prezzie. Always a good idea. And came home with a small carton of Tetley cold infusions (cucumber, mint and citrus) and a similar carton of Twinings (rose lemonade). All natural, zero carbs. You lob the wee teabags into cold water, leave to infuse for a couple on mins and glug. Definitely nicer than herb teas, and uses 5-600ml of water, so much better than poxy little herb teabags that need 2 bags for that amount of flavour. The cucumber one is fave (so far) but other flavours available.

B: tiny little crustless quiche and 4 homemade crispy bacon strips
L: nothing
3pm 4 squares orange dark Lindt
D: 8 (yes 8) tiny lamb chops. Gave a little to dogs. Cooked in pan this time. Prefer them in the oven, i think...

Maybe some goatsmilk yog in a few mins.

:D

Me too! Having read one of your other posts, I’m now wondering if my flu jab aswell as the poor sleep accounted for my higher than usual levels today. Let’s hope both of us have better readings tomorrow.
