What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hello , Sunday
B. Black Forest fruit with yoghurt.

L. At an eat all you want Indian restaurant. 2 popadoms with spicy raw onion. 2 vegetable pakora and 1 chicken pakora. Beef madras and chicken jalfrezi with shredded lettuce. The pakora were delicious but it was a struggle to avoid the naan.

D. Camambert with walnuts. Strawberries with yoghurt.

Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs

Lunch - awaiting groceries after a weekend away, so off to Nando's in my lunch hour. 5 plain wings and salad - always keeps me on track. 5.8 before lunch and 5.9 two hours later

Dinner - lamb chop, broccoli, sprouts and a bit of butter
 
Breakfast: 2 eggs mayo on Lidl Protein Roll
Lunch: Nothing
Dinner: Roasted chicken thigh, two portions of Birds Eye Fusions green veg (found at bottom of a freezer)

Mr C has been moved on to a permanent afternoon / evening shift so we have decided to eat up the contents of one of our freezers (the one with all the home cooked / frozen meals in it). Two big freezers on the go should be enough for just two people. :confused:

B. 1 egg omelette with 1 slice bacon, spinach, vittoria tomatoes, chestnut mushroom and parsley. Tassimo morning coffee.
L. Black Tea
D. Leftovers from yesterday. Steak , mushroom and ale stew, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage and green beans all steamed. Took a slither out of centre of hubby's puff pastry and managed to only have that slither.
No sugar jelly and cream.
Today. Though my BG was finally settling. Bed 6.3 FBG 6.9 - breakfast 20 mins later - pre breakfast 8.9!! How the heck did DP get there in 20 mins? Had breakfast so it will drop soon.
B. Same as yesterday 1 egg omelette with mushroom, vittoria tomatoes, spinach, 1 rasher of bacon and parsley. Tassimo morning coffee with cream.
L. Will be nothing

D. Thai red curry with mushroom stir fry, cauliflower rice and breast of chicken.
Failed miserably at keeping protein down yesterday 81g - even fat was less! Better today at 45g.
I manage fine keeping calories around 1200/1300 and carbs 20g or more often than not less but trying to get protein around 50g too is pretty tough!

Hour in the Gym 4 miles on the treadmill in 30 mins :)
L: Corned beef, baby spinach, rocket, tomato, Cucumber, olives & Feta
D: Turkey Mole 2 squares 85%

No breakfast
No lunch
This evening plan to have sausage stroganoff (diet doctor recipe) and celeriac chips.

Only eat one meal a day at the minute as most food is making me feel sick at the minute

Still to test after dinner, but a day of very even blood sugar levels - no pre-breakfast rise (no idea why as no change in routine or approach to eating). Highest reading 6.7 (after breakfast), lowest 5.2 (before dinner).

Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs

Lunch - salad (baby spinach, rocket, radish, baby plum tomatoes) with salami and cheese

Dinner - sea bass fillet fried in butter with juice of half a lemon and flat leaf parsley; sautéed courgette and onion

D. Steak, onion gravy, cabbage, carrots and onions. Strawberries and yoghurt.

I have a pomegranate pot but I'm very full so I'm unsure whether i will have one.
 
Changeover day with Libre. Thought it was going to be a good day with bed on 7.3 FBG 6.5 but no such luck 8.7 pre breakfast.
B. 1 egg omelette again with tomato, mushroom, 1 rasher crispy bacon, spinach and parsley.
L. Leftover red curry chicken from yesterday with cauliflower rice.
D. Rib eye steak with Diane sauce , sprouts, mushrooms and celeriac chips.
Will probably have a bit of the lemon coconut cake now lurking in the fridge.

I ate out for lunch and dinner today.
B. Summer fruits with yoghurt

L. 2 fried eggs, sausage, bacon, black pudding, mushroom and an asparagus wrapped in bacon.

D. 2 popadoms. King prawn tikka with lettuce. Mixed tandoori with lettuce.
 
Cheese omelette and mushrooms

1/2 bowl cream of celeriac soup plus piece of cheese

Chilli and cauli rice plus cheese

1/2 Lidl roll with butter
