What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Not a lot yesterday bed 5.7 FBG 6.3
B. Cannot shake my addiction to the DD no bread breakfast sandwich. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Nothing
D. 1/2 Rib eye steak and tablespoon wilted spinach. Mug of Marigold Swiss bouillon.
Today Friday
Bed 5 FBG a mere 5.1. Aqua day - need it today.
B. Probably that no bread breakfast sandwich again. Already had a Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Nothing
D. Going to sons for dinner. Already know it will be chicken Balmoral (chicken breast stuffed with haggis and wrapped in parma ham) with above ground greenery. Won't be drinking as I'll take the car. Will take a dessert with me for everyone else. I'll pass on that.

Hello all.

Thursday ...

Breakfast: Two double decaffeinated espressos with cream and xylitol. Two small tarte flambee on homemade low-carb flatbread -- they were really nice.

Lunch: Nothing.

Snack: One babybel cheese.

Dinner: Vegetable soup with oxtail, a few seed crackers with butter, half a low-carb roll with butter, half of an 85% chocolate bar. One glass of red wine.

11am: a chunk of corned beef crisped up in a pan with 2 eggs fried into it. love it! inspired by @maglil55 's DD brekkie, but we didn't have any ham.
6pm: will be pork ribs, nice meaty ones, with DIY BBQ spices consisting of onion powder, garlic, paprika, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce and a dash of Reggae Reggae sauce that needs finishing. With an avocado, if the ribs aren't filling enough. and 2 squares of 70% choc to follow.

I am finding that my body is happily requesting a 17/7 intermittent fasting routine at the moment, plus a slice of cheese or meat just before bed. This developed during the working week, so things may change over the weekend.

Nearing the end of week 2 of the Zero Carb Experiment, and still v happy. And still surprised about it. I honestly expected to get bored within a couple of days, and fall straight back into veg. But I am only including the avocado today to see if I tolerate it as well as yesterday, and because I'm not sure there are enough ribs! lol.

Today started well with me achieving my nine stone thirteen weight - first time since my 20s which is a while back as I’m 62! This way of eating has now lead to a two and a half stone weight loss since September 2017. Celebratory day
Breakfast bacon and egg fried in coconut oil
Lunch Keto seed crackers, cheese and nuts
Dinner Cremant de Bourgogne fizz with roast pork belly, celeriac mash and braised celery followed by lemon syllabub yummy - also great for blood glucose levels pre dinner was 4.9 and post 5.2
we were due to go to a friend’s for dinner but Aussie flu got several of the guests so postponed. Means I have 6 low carb syllabubs to eat over weekend!
First time I’ve ever cooked pork belly as been low fat diet for the bulk of my adult life and avoided it like the plague and I was stunned it was so succulent - much better than the pork loin I used to use all the time and which easily went tough when overlooked. It will be now regularly be on my menus.

That’s brilliant @shelley262

Have started my birthday celebrations early.

Breakfast - none

Lunch - bag of pork crunch and small bar Coop 85% chocolate

Dinner - fathead pizza with pepperoni topping.

Just had a delayed dessert of chocolate olive oil cake and cream. Ate it warm straight out of the oven. Delicious and plenty left for the weekend! 2.8g carbs a portion.

Happy Birthday @Goonergal. I think your olive oil chocolate cake may become as big an obsession as my DD bread free sandwich (although no comparison between fried eggs and chocolate!)

I think I’m just excited that I can make a cake! Literally had not baked since school until a couple of weeks ago.

Happy birthday @Goonergal
Meals over past few days have been variations on a theme of which today is pretty typical
B - 1/2 toasted Lidl protein roll with 10g sugar free peanut butter
L - vegan chocolate mousse ( melt 2 tbs coconut oil, combine with 6tbsp cocoa,1- 2 tbsp erythritol, 1/2 tsp orange extract. Whizz up in mixer with 1 pkt (300g) silken tofu, chill = 4 portions)
D - prawn, mushroom, asparagus, pumpkin seed, sunflower seed, and chilli fried cauliflower rice
Snacks - another portion of mousse, 15g 100% dark chocolate with almonds, 2 strawberries
Drinks - 1 non dairy cocoa, 2 1/2 litres water

Suffering from lack of appetite right now. Bed 4.9 FBG 5.3. Highest I've had today is 6.3 which is amazing for me.
B. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Another Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
D. Lidl high protein roll with lurpack and pate pate the fruity one. 6 baby plum tomatoes.
Been trying to think of something I feel like eating and I can't.

@Goonergal -- Happy birthday, hope you'll have a wonderful day celebrating.
@shelley262 -- Congrats on the weightloss. Really well done.

Saturday ...

Breakfast: Two double decaffeinated espressos with cream and xylitol.

Lunch: Some pecans with homemade caramel (xylitol, salt, double cream).

Snack: Half a low-carb roll with butter.

Dinner: Five chicken drum sticks (marinated in soy sauce, garlic and cinnamon and then baked), mixed roasted vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, bellpepper, fennel, mushrooms) with edam cheese, whipped cream and low-carb chocolate mousse, a glass of red wine. Really felt stuffed after this.

Good morning all
Saturday breakfast bacon, egg and mushroom fried in coconut oil
Lunch advocado mashed with lemon and advocado oil mixed with tomatoes, strips of smoked salmon and some crumbly remains of my last batch of Keto seed crackers sprinkled on top - would go well in a lunch box I think and delicious
Dinner bowl of curry and a slice of Hilo bread heated in coconut oil followed by gin and soda and low carb lemon mousse
Feeling stuffed still this Sunday morning so giving breakfast a miss!

Still lacking appetite. Even my current favourite breakfast didn't awaken the taste buds. Was so low last night I decided not to take my evening meds.
Bed 3.7 - yes 3.7 FBG 4.8. Once again my highest reading today was 6.1.
B. That DD no bread breakfast sandwich and Tassimo Americano Grande with a dash of cream.
L. Nothing was running around with son to drop off a parcel and go to Costco.
D. Hubby has made broth again. Will have some and may have a slice of Hovis low carb seeded. Campari and soda but will skip the prosecco.

Just started a new sensor and it's spot on - sensor and jab have me at 4.3.

Hi all, I’ve not been here for a bit.
Yesterday was a hungry day so apart from the usual gallon of coffee and cream I had four slices of corned beef, some buttery mashed turnip (a rare treat) five sprouts and a bit of grated cheese.

Today not hungry so just two bratwurst.
