It looks much as I pictured although I think in my mind it was square with a hole for the egg. That looks better.It is kind of shakshuka-esque, but obviously different proportions to avoid too much beef.

That pie you made sounds great!
Only just got both boys off to sleep so relaxing now. Wee one has gone through full repertoire- wee, water, monsters, too hot, poo, more water......
I've made that pot pie before. It's a strange topping but in a nice way. If you cook it with the top on it comes out kind of crumbly as it soaks up the sauce. Cooking it separate it was a more spongy texture. Liked the filling done in the IP. As I said I added chopped up sausages (browned first), halved button mushrooms and fresh peas. Another variation I've done before is to use Campbell's condensed mushroom soup rather than cream to sauce it.
Suspect we might have it tomorrow too as I still have a lot of filling.
