What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Bed 5.1 FBG 5.2. Up early to take the boys to Holiday Club. They were going on an outing today to the cinema. No 1 had a great day. No 2 got tired at the tail end and managed to lose 5 pennies in quick succession. Can't see him winning them back tonight but I reckon early night is on the cards as he isn't used to long outings.
Me? I knackered my legs doing the bathrooms properly i e into every nook and cranny. Bathrooms are sparkling now. Going to visit sis tomorrow so wanted to get this done.
B. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. 1/2 Mattesons smoked sausage with scrambled egg and Tesco high protein bread toasted.
D. A low carb half and half (And I could only eat half!) Consisting of 1/2 lo dough margarita pizza and 1/2 carbonara made with Oomi Noodles, panchetta, parmesan, a little cream and egg. 490 cals and 9g carbs and I'm stuffed!

I've lost another 2 lbs so that's 6lbs in 2 weeks. I also got another weird parcel. I mentioned that this windscreen shade appeared in the post and no one knows where it came from. At least that was new. Today's item is a second hand parrot hands free kit for a car in a Tesco freezer bag. I traced the parcel backwards but it was a drop shop. Got in touch with Hermes but they replied to say data protection prevents them telling me who sent it. I've told them to inform the sender I have a parcel that isn't mine, no idea why it was addressed to me and I'll be binning it if someone doesn't claim it.
I did check all my accounts but they're all fine. I'll change all the passwords to be sure though. Don't like these mysteries.

Hello everyone, think today might be our last hot day, a little bit of rain forecast for tomorrow :arghh:
Coffee with cream when I got up
B I took a strawberry smoothie to work
L salad, salmon and mayo served with a mini almond bread loaf
Frothy coffee with cream and half PhD bar when I got home
D salad with a chilli beef kebab followed by zucchini lemon cake with cream
Glass of red

Hi everyone
I didn't leave the house again today, week 3 of the summer holidays and my get up and go had got up and gone!
It did mean I wasn't tempted by any bad food (I'm thinking Lidl croissants and pain au chocolat!)

Breakfast - jelly
Lunch - chicken salad with cheese and an oily dressing
Dinner - lamb leg steaks with mushrooms and runner beans cooked in garlic butter. Home made mint sauce.

Sugars are slowly coming down again. I've had no more double figures since the weekend and had my first 2 under 7 today.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: egg mayo with cauliflower and broccoli salad followed by Greek yoghurt and raspberries.
Mid afternoon: orange chia pudding and a black coffee.
Dinner: carbonara made with Explore Cuisine edamame spaghetti, cream, eggs, mushrooms, bacon and a few petit pois followed by strawberries, Breyers chocolate ice cream (not as good as Oppo, but no Oppo when I shopped :() and a spoonful of LC chocolate granola.

Nice to see your story pop up on my email today, fame at last eh :)

Breakfast - overnight oats (25% coconut) and blueberries. Tea.

Lunch - lo dough oven baked for few mins, paté. Jelly.

Visited mother in care home - very stressful but got through it without succumbing to the chefs massive coffee walnut cake (one of my former favourites) although I did have a Rich Tea! Just one

Dinner - made from scratch Bolognese cooked by the daughter.
She loosely follows slimming world so any jars of sauce are a no no (so much hidden sugar) so we make our own - had mine on a bed of courgettes smothered with cheese.

And I made these coconut flour cookies this morning. What a curious texture - rather cakey but edible. Sometimes in the morning all I want with my tea is a digestive!

Am still slightly amazed at how little I snack these days and that I'm not really hungry.20180807_121019%20(1).jpg

Ive been a bit lax in reporting the last few days and have just read through all your lovely foody posts.

@shelley I hope your birthday bash #2 is fun. Things seem to be going well with your mum - the swimming was a great idea.

@Rachox and @ianpspurs I know you’ve both been under the weather and it’s affected your numbers but I hope things are picking up for you.

@maglil55 I love the mystery parcels - we had a 6’ inflatable T Rex from Argos delivered once, we rang them but they said they didn’t know who it ahould have gone to so keep it. Would have been ok if it was something at all useful! Hope the visit to your sis goes well.

@purplepenguin good going! I’m glad you’re seeing results.

Yesterday’s menu:
B: none but a couple of cups of coffee with cream during the morning. Waiting in at No 1 daughter’s for deluveries while she was at work, also looking after grandaughters. She’s been so impressed and envious of my WOE she’s decided to come on board. She’s not overweight but has a rogue 1/2 stone which comes and goes thanks to Slimming world. Her Asda delivery was a world away from her normal grocery shop this week and we’ve planned some menus together.
L: cheese, olives and walnuts.
D: chicken traybake with aubergine, courgettes, garlic, red pepper and celeriac with feta cheese crumbled on top.

No idea if it is helpful to anyone else but Mrs P just had a 33% discount offer from Bulk Powders. 1 kg each of Inulin and Psyllium Husk Powder ordered - £14 saved.:) Their website offers 33% discount atm - ends tonight

Hope you are feeling better today? Glad you enjoyed the smoothie, I have made it with strawberries or nut butter, am going to try a cherry flavour one next :)

Wasn't very hungry today so:
Breakfast - Jelly and cream
Lunch- nothing
Dinner - cajun chicken breast with garlic mushrooms and runner beans

Eyesight has been a problem today due to sugars lowering quickly. Long distance is fine but near distance is fun! Hoping there will only be another few days of this before it settles.

Good evening. I am mobile today and able to exercise so much happier. A day of eating to ameliorate the more pressing problem with only half an eye on bg levels. @Goonergal I hope the mystery virus clears with lower temperatures and rest; @purplepenguin I hope the eyesight issues abate asap. Bed 4.6 FBG 4.5. BGs are about the only thing right at the moment. @ianpspurs glad to hear you are rejoining the mobile group. No grandsons and no Aqua. Pool closed for maintenance and I was making my 2 hour round trip to visit sis. Not good I'm afraid though. The palliative care is a problem due to staffing shortages. Spent most of the visit trying to resolve problems.
B. Slice Tesco high protein bread with with pate pate the tasty salmon one.
Tassimo Americano Grande with a dash of cream.
L. Nothing
D. These crispy sesame chicken tenders again with the low carb sweet chilli sauce.

Will have some raspberry chia pudding after.
No mystery parcels today thank goodness.
