What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hi all back home in UK - day started with a very choppy crossing on ferry first thing! Also had to fast much of day as airport and plane food not low carb! Woman sat next to me on plane was a bit of a nightmare too she ate on a 2 hour 50 min flight two toasted sandwiches, a family bag of crisps, a twix plus a full sugar coke and an orange juice! I had a peppermint tea the only okay thing on menu list!
Breakfast cheese omelette and coffee
Lunch peppermint tea
Dinner chilli from freezer and one slice Lc garlic bread followed by two scoops of lc ice cream and square of 90% chocolate.
Heating on as home cold! Washing machine in full use!
Aww bless you, it’s not nice when someone is stuffing their face especially when there is nothing you can choose.xx

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: roast chicken, one tiny roast potato with mixed veg and gravy followed by SF jelly, cream and LC chocolate granola.
Mid afternoon: raspberry phd bar and a black coffee.
Dinner at ILs: cold meats and cheese with saladfollowed by one Jaffa cake :)
Going away tomorrow for a couple of days to stay in a treehouse (!) to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. I’m going to have to wing it on the food at local pubs etc... as we will be in the countryside away from the big chains! I will of course be taking ingredients and my favourite saucepan to make my coconut ‘porridge’ for breakfast
Happy anniversary, enjoy the treehouse x

Hello all.

Happy wedding anniversary, @Rachox.
Good to read that you made it back allright, @shelley262. Sorry about the woman on the plane next to you. I almost fear that I might have been like that woman too before embarking on the low carb diet.

@mojo37 -- I often just have a salad or an avocado with steak. Other alternatives are celeriac mash, hummus, or maybe even DD keto rolls with garlic butter.

Breakfast: Two double decaffeinated espressos with cream and erythritol.

Lunch: A DD keto roll, half with goat cream cheese and smoked salmon, the other half with mayonnaise, cheddar and beef salami. A oxtail soup with coconut milk, red curry paste, bellpepper, mushrooms and pumpkin.

Snack: About 25g of 85% chocolate and another espressos with cream and erythritol

Dinner: Lamb loin with mushrooms, chives and onion in a sauce of double-cream and beef broth. Lamb's lettuce with a mustard-lime dressing with feta cheese. A glass of red wine.

(Late) breakfast - 1 slice toast with butter and sweet freedom choc spread. Tea

Lunch - lo dough pork salad wrap and a SF jelly

Snack - cucumber and cheese

Dinner - pan fried steak and celeriac 'chips' and a choc mousse I made adapted from a Raymond Blanc recipe - just egg whites, melted 85% chocolate and sweetener. Very rich! Added a sprinkle of desiccated coconut on top.20180930_160913.jpg

Nightime snack/sort of early breakfast: a swig of kefir from the bottle while considering raiding fridge contents, and a spoonful of "chocolate" fat bomb, water; later, coffee and cream

Lunch: smoked salmon, cream cheese, baby cucumbers and dill again; Last of kefir/quark with a few frozen mixed berries; cinnamon tea. piece of Lindt 85% chocolate

Dinner: "Halogened" (roast/baked??) sadly skinless chicken breast, stir fried slightly tough tenderstem :confused:broccoli, with pine nuts, pesto, splash of lemon and grated parmesan; a few blueberries (best I've tasted recently!) with Greek yoghurt and a little powdered erythritol; turmeric tea

Still workng on the water...

I found the woman on the plane next to me interesting I suppose I didn’t used to notice but now it feels many people don’t stop eating and like you I used to eat without thinking! She was probably a very anxious passenger using food to calm her she was keen to get off the plane to the extent of rudeness in her rush hitting me with her bag that she couldn’t wait to get down - I was in the aisle seat! Oh well that’s yesterday can plan my food today!

Definitely the glide path to Christmas. Hotel Chocolat sending Mrs P advertising since she bought the 3 DILs? HC hampers last year. The Velvetiser with 100% Mayan Red Honduras looks likely to make an appearance here. There is also a HC Cocoa Cafe in Cambridge she tells me. Looks like a huge nudge for a wedding anniversary present to me. https://www.hotelchocolat.com/uk/velvetiser-hot-chocolate-machine.html
May have just found my breakfast.
Edit/Update: Bought a cheaper Dualit doofer from John Lewis and allegedly lower carb, free trade, organic raw cacao/cocoa powder from Sevenhills

Lets hope her hasty exit wasn't so she could go find even more food lol
I remember my DN saying that I would watch people and wonder if they were also diabetic, due to their size or what they were eating, she was right, I do sometimes find myself doing this. Occasionally I feel a little bit envious but on the whole I feel pleased with myself for the newly acquired self control I now have.

Hope all had a good Monday I was pleased to get back to cooking - did batch of Lc seeded crispbreads and raspberry clafoutis had lots of ripe purple tomatoes and also raspberries to harvest today
Breakfast one slice of bacon and egg
Lunch olive oil hummus and Shropshire blue cheese with celery, purple tomatoes and lc crispbreads
Dinner two lamb cutlets with cauliflower mash, mushrooms and tzatziki followed by raspberry clafoutis with yoghurt.

Start and end of the day- releasing chickens and securing them - cool but still wearing shorts. Mrs P has put the heating on this evening but I don't think we need that yet. In between the chicken duties it was very sunny until about 15 hundred hrs. Farmers are cutting hedges and ditches so autumn is here. Huge cracks in ground where I walk the dogs and big ruts where heavy machinery has been.
Wakey Wakey: Tea
Breakfast : Tea
Lunch : Large salad - avocado and mackerel in olive oil; chia seeds and PSP for fibre; Sugar free coke
Mid Afternoon: Tea
Evening meal: Marrow brushed with marmite and stuffed with pork mince and vegetable stock; Small bowl LC trifle; Water
@shelley262 Do I detect a Greek influence to the menu - tzatziki and yogurt with the clafoutis?

Evening everyone, chilly but bright and sunny here, at lunchtime I found a bench that was bathed in sunlight it was lovely.
Coffee with cream on waking
B almond milk smoothie, couple of slices of wafer thin meat and cheese
L salad with cold chilli sausages, small pack of pork scratchings
Almond milk cappuccino and phd smart bar when I got home
D lo dough pizza with tuna, cheese and peppers

Yes got rather fond of Greek yoghurt!

@Robbity - you reminded me of that late night swig of kefir I had too. :)

Today has been bacon and 2 duck eggs, then dry fried lamb mince with fresh mint this evening. Didn’t quite eat the whole pack - the small dogs had a little each. Also a low carb hot choc (cocoa, cream and erythritol) at 3pm.

Hello all,

Pre-breakfast: Woke up really early, ravenous, ate a wiener sausage and went back to sleep.

Breakfast: Two double decaffeinated espressos with cream and erythritol.

Lunch: Two scrambled eggs with okra. A DD keto roll with lettuce, mayonnaise and shrimp. Another wiener sausage. Half a glass of wine.

Snack: A fistful of low-carb muesli (coconut, sesame, linseed, erythritol)

Dinner: Asparagus fried in olive oil, about 100g of lamb loin, Greek yoghurt with olive oil, a small DD keto roll, one half grilled with butter and gouda, the other half grilled with butter and roquefort.

An entire day at work and not a rollito in sight. And equalled my lowest ever BG reading with a 3.4 before lunch.

Lunch with colleague - small doner kebab (no bread) with salad

Dinner - smoked salmon and M&S whipped cream cheese (god it’s delicious) followed by a nut feast: 65g salted almonds and 50g salted macadamias.
