Back home after a long and stressful day. We left at 12.30 for the Eye Hospital and didn't get back home until after 6pm. They ended up running behind after the air conditioning broke in the treatment rooms, which meant suspending all injections until it was fixed. The whole process usually takes between 2-3 hours, but this time it took over 3 and a half hours! Mr B was so anxious with all the waiting around. Anyway, the good news is that his right eye is still stable and there has been some more improvement in his left eye (the good one). The bad news is that this means we have to back again in four weeks! Food today has been a tad topsy turvy.
Breakfast: Coffee and cream
Brunch: Bacon, sausage, black pudding, eggs, tomato and mushrooms. Coffee.
Dinner: Couldn't be bothered to cook, so we had chia pudding with raspberries and almonds. Followed by a luxury hot choc with Willie's Cacao Peruvian Black, almond milk and cream. We always have this on treatment day....it lifts the spirits.
