@SlimLizzy: A swift google search pulled up this info at Wikipedia...@Goonergal and @Chook what is a Gooner? Have always assumed Goonergal is a reference to Gongoozling - watching canalboats.
Gooner (plural Gooners)
(Soccer) Someone connected with Arsenal Football Club, as a fan, player, coach etc.

[USER=468536]@DJC3 How did cutting out eggs go? Have all the itchy lumps gone?
Sudden brainwave. Grate more cheese than needed for one day. Why didn't i think of this before?

Other definitions are available on request but NSFW@SlimLizzy @Tipetoo Wiki’s description is not correct. Gooner refers to fans of Arsenal only, not the players and coaches. Unusually The Sun has a better explanation: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/2229...ooners-when-the-team-is-known-as-the-gunners/

@ianpspurs Totally with you about brisket. Remember chewing some for what seemed like hours as a child.
My mother knows how to wreck a piece of beef. It would be Sunday lunch. Monday, served as cold slices, with hot gravy (ugh) and Tuesday the remnants turned into rissoles..... argh going to have nightmares tonight. Probaly starring her rice pudding.

Breakfast. 2x CWC, nut granola, flavoured with the grated rind of the orange from yesterday and cinnamon. Very seasonal.
2egg emmethal omelette. Sudden brainwave. Grate more cheese than needed for one day. Why didn't i think of this before?
Lunch: avocado, tomato, cheese and salad. tea.
Dinner BBQ refugees. They hid in the freezer to avoid it. So a thorough grilling for the pork chop, 2 rashers belly pork and three sausages. Red cabbage, and green beans with mine.
The last batch of parsely honey is too liquid, simmered to reduce a little more and rebottled. Of course no longer two full jars.
MrSlim and his new sidekick have made great progress today. MrSlim is looking happier, but now no chance of earlier return to UK. So will not be seeing any of our friends this christmas.
Finished faffing with parsley honey and other jars, drank my nearly cold tea and poured myself a glass of wine. But new evening regime; No wine after nine. Bedtime tea by ten. Had to put it back in the fridge. Consoled myself with a nice lemon and ginger tea. Somehow doesn't have quite the same effect, or is that emotional appeal?
Now that is STRANGE. I was talking to a friend today, explaining what and why I eat like this (she is also very ling term T2 on insulin) ... We had a look at my food diary and she pointed out that every time i have a day with higher than usual BG its immediately followed by a hungry day. It seems you have the same issue.
Good to hear you in good spirits and glad you enjoyed your food. I would love all of it bar the suchi. I prefer my fish tomhit the pan! But glad for you.A tentative start to Christmas today with an OMAD after a day signing forms at solicitors then in Cambridge. Tea and coffee until about 18:30. Salmon and tuna from Waitrose Suchi bar (loved it), sirloin steak, ceasar salad (sans croutons) and small piece of Wookey hole cheese. Dangerous visiting the mothership Waitrose in Trumpington - never knew Iwantedneeded a cheese curler until today but once seen it needed rescuing and giving a home. Steak was another air fryer win although I would have mine much more rare. We used the burger preset but I prefer not much more than the sushi if I'm honest. This was very tender. (just not enough blood) An evening watching White Christmas methinks.
