Not taking insulin means that your results will be clearer than mine, which was bound to be skewed a bit. But I was looking for what works in my situation. Your results will show what works for you.
I have one CGM left, and I'll put it on soon. I might have some ACV first. Not sure I have any macaroni here, mind, I might have given all my pasta away. I'll check, and if necessary I'll buy some. Thanks for posting your results, though.

Good luck tomorrow with the endo appt @Antje77
Today we drove up to London ready for my hosp app tomorrow ( thanks for good wishes @shelley262 and @JenniferM55 ) Black coffee first thing then a packed lunch of lc roll with leftover chicken goujons, cream cheese, red pepper and Tabasco. More coffee and a tea with milk at pit stops.
Arrived finally, hotel is opposite a Nando’s , happy days! 1/2 chicken medium hot with rainbow slaw, broccoli and 1/2 a halloumi side. I can Red wine. ( there were a couple of pit stops for dry white wine and soda on the trek from the tube to the hotel)
Back in the room a few squares Montezuma’s absolute black and hopefully a good nights sleep ahead.

Thank you! I thought it looked a lot more colourful than some of my brown meals.
It looked very colourful. I tried avocado once, smashed (bought that way) on toast. And I thought it was disgusting. But I've had a couple of whole avocados lately, and really liked them. Though I'm not quite sure what to do with them.

All the best for your hospital appoints tomorrow @Antje77 and @LivingLightly!

John had a hospital appointment this morning (too) so I took the chance to extend my fast somewhat, managed the fast to 2.30pm when we were settled back at home again.

Early morning coffee made with cream.

Joined John in a libation of a G&T when we got home, soon after followed by 2 slices of hm lc bread, buttered and spread with hm ricotta cheese.

Dinner was a salad starter, followed by an air fried roast chicken (snap @IanBish ;) ), steamed broccoli, baby sprouts tossed in butter, cream mushroom sauce.

Following the 'Glucose Goddess' method again, I had a glass of diluted ACV before each meal today. Don't know whether it's my imagination but on several occasions now ACV makes me go a little dizzy and I get a bit of fuzzy vision. A couple of times I've even had a headache. It just felt like BG was a bit out of whack. Took a finger prick test when I felt strange (before food), BG was 5.1 which was on the low side for me. Could it be this is a demonstration that ACV does have a quick effect on BG?

Tomorrow at 1 pm will be my yearly appointment with my endo. Lab results are already in, everything is fine (except I'll have to do some explaining on my low hba1c, no problem, I've already adjusted my basal, which she'll accept), and still I'm nervous enough to not fancy food.
I was properly hungry this afternoon but couldn't think of anything I wanted to eat so I eventually had a slice of LC bread. High time for my second meal but no idea what I want to eat again.

Oh well, I'm not at risk of starving anytime soon, so who cares. :hilarious:
Worst case scenario will be pork scratchings with aioli in bed, which is fine as well. But I'm sure glad I only see my endo once a year, no matter how well she works with me!
Hope it goes well tomorrow - thinking of you.

Thanks for all your friendly wishes, and especially for understanding that anxiety can get the better of you even if there is nothing to be anxious about!
Please mai join the hospital appointment tomorrow club ? :). Mine's for my bad eye
Yes, we'll go together even if far apart on the map!
I'll have the fingers of my one hand crossed for your eye appointment, and virtually hold your hand with the other to soothe both our nerves.
Evening @Antje77. Here in the UK, it's known as white coat syndrome.

The anxiety of being around doctors (with or without their white coats) is something few of us are able to control. This time tomorrow the agony will be over for another year and you can concentrate once again on preparing a good square meal for supper.
Ah, thankfully my endo will accept my home BP readings, those hospital readings always say I'm close to death. :hilarious:
Sadly, this time tomorrow I'll be laughing at myself for my unnecessary nerves after a delightful visit with my endo, only to do the same stupid thing over again with nerves for an MRI on my back the day after tomorrow. :banghead:
Never had an MRI before, and I'm booked very early in the morning which means getting up in the literal middle of the night for me.
But this will be over as well in the morning on thursday, and all will be well!

'Evening meal' turned out to be a couple of handfuls of 'chilli peanut and cashew mix' from a bag that had been opened for at least three weeks, with a best by date 5 months ago. 16.8 carbs per 100, perfect to get my dropping BG from 4.2 to 5.6. :joyful:
Will likely do some midnight snacking on chicory with hummus, pork scratchings with aioli, or maybe both.

Picture because I always include a picture of my evening meal, so why not now. :hilarious:

A t my last Endo appt, the nurse doing the height, weight, BP thing just asked if the numbers on my screen were the sort of thing I normally saw at home. When I reassured her only she, and her colleagues could to that sort of thing to me, we moved along.

At another clinic recently, when faced with my numbers, the nurse commented,…… in here that’s nothing.

Oh my. Poor bods is all I’ll say.

Good luck later.

its busy on here with appointments at the moment!

First thing I did at my endo appointment last year was show her my Libre graph with the straightish horizontal line overnight suddenly going almost straight up vertically upon entering the hospital and taking a correction dose to prove those appointments are bad for my health! :hilarious:

Hope it all goes as well as you hope (and expect) today Antje. I hated the though of an MRI scan because I am somewhat claustrophobic but I managed to close my eyes and imagine I was somewhere else, so it wasn't too bad. Actually laying on my back was the worst part (painful) and getting up off of the "bed" afterwards - that was a bit of a comedy performance. Best wishes for your scan - just close your eyes and imagine you are swimming in that ice cold water.

Reduce my basal insulin this morning so we'll see how that goes. Actually started off with BG a bit high (9.9 - had been 11.1 during the night) but it has already dropped to 7.4 with no intervention.

Thinking about breakfast now. What to have. Eggs in some form I guess. 2nd meal is fixed. It will be steak and onions.
