Kiln dried logs arriving today, usually tipped on drive so I need to try a ignore this pain to get it stacked.

Some years ago a dentist recommended Propain for toothache. At the time I had an abcess and nothing was easing it. But these did. If they are not available perhaps try paracetamol and codeine?

Good morning everyone from a touch of azure in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of a keto type selection from the Full English list of options came in at 4.6 this am. I always like the mushrooms sautéed in a blob of butter until they begin to brown and the water content is reduced to get a ‘bite’. Al Dente.

A wonderful day yesterday for Little Miss Pamplemousse and her pre-birthday day - “A very merry unbirthday to you”.... an explore in the woods hunting for a dragon, back in time for cake and medals all round. Mrs Miggins and I got home just in time to nip round to MIL’s and hang some curtains that she had had altered, salvaged from her bunaglow and now residing in her shiny new appartment.

Sorry to read that the tooth ache is not subsiding @Muddy Cyclist, any news on the medic front - the NHS has allegedly told GP’s that they must offer face to face consultations. I am investigating moving to Orkney should they succeed in their plan for self determination from the wee kranky mayor of Edinburgh.

Nothing planned for today so it’s probably a walk down the beach and returning via the park. My sketch today is of one of the several foot brides in said nearby park. Hope everyone manages to have a good day. Koffy still needs practicing.

Morning from turkey.

Best score for a good while, 6.0
Back overlooking McGarret plains, if not actually on them, a least in touching distance.

A very abnormal holiday for us, but given the times ..

Hadn't realised what a stressful year it's been, until we got here, and almost had to rub our eyes in disbelief at the freedom we are now enjoying

( All as safe as possible, given the pandemic),
we truly had believed had gone, at least for the foreseeable future.

So not surprising we seem to have spent most of this one, decompressing...and not being so frantic with the dashing from here to there on some adventure.

So a repeat of yesterday, AND the day before..breakfast, beach, swim, sunbathe, repeat until sun goes down.



Oh last night got burgled.

Came home earlier, apartment on 2 floor, only other access from roof

I open balcony door to air the room a little,
And this little fellas sat there, innocent as you please..

Invited himself in for cat crack and an offering of a whiskas pouch, we had , which he greatly enjoyed.

While we washed and prepped for dinner, he surveyed rooms, then left.

Dinner delicious, a quick nightcap, then bed.

Lauren had fallen asleep on couch,
while i sipped one last beer on balcony, while enjoying the stars.
So I left her there, nice and cool, and she seemed so peaceful.
and went to bed.

Half past 3 woken by a scream
She can hear a rat in the room ...

Lights on, I jump into action..

Hoping it's a mouse but wondering what to hit it with if it is a rat...

only to find the cat had slipped into room via open balcony door and was caught bang to rights Your honour with Exhibit A

To whit, one packet of dreamies in her mouth,

with malice aforethought, with the clear intention to rip and render said packet open, and to devour, WITHOUT payment of any kind

Sentencing was immediate,
Two cuddles, lots of giggles,
one very generous handful of treats, and escorted off the premises.

The cat is now known to us as RAFFLES..

No dentist for 5 days with a THROBBING abcess.

Well, people cant get tested a first time in many localities!

I hear a rumour the uni testing equipment that was 'loaned', is very properly back with the uni in charge for checking their staff and students.

We are in a war, but the guy who thinks he is Churchill is a complete ****.
They can't organise a collective wee weeing event in a brewery!

When he adds a no deal brexit to the mix and shelves are bare, we'll all be worshippers of his Fungship by default!

I had an abcess many years ago it was a very painful bulge at the base of one tooth. The doctor I saw, a very old fashioned Irishman, stuffed a sharp probe into it and let the pus out. The pain was much reduced.

But its when they are under a tooth there is a real problem.

Oh no, I distrust all members of parliament, whatever the flavour. - I opened a school in Glasgow Southside a few years ago and as local MP she was invited to speak. Took an immense dislike to her then and have not changed my mind. Her boat sails unfailingly in only one direction, despite the leaks.

@gennepher, @HarryBeau and @mojo37 - yes, it was so relaxing yesterday. We didn't walk much, and spent most of the morning just moving from bench to bench soaking up the atmosphere in the Water Gardens.

Leaves on the weeping willows were a paler shade of green and the gardens looked more stunning than a couple of weeks ago. I think it was that the light was different - hard to explain but everything sort of shimmered. It was really good for the soul and I felt much less exhausted.

5.6 this morning. Did my class in Norwich this morning. Then came home for dinner and am doing admin until I go in to teach in the evening. Very unusual to get home because I usually do 1:1s until the evening classes, but I found last week so hard I never got round to booking 1:1s. It means a 50 mile round trip but well worth it.

Fbg 6.1

My daily painting for today.

In Procreate. I did the same effect I did yesterday, but I didn't overstretch the coloured pixels from the black like I did yesterday. I did about two-thirds less stretching. This now meant when I made the swirly marble psychedelic effects, then I could reduce the opacity and there was still colour. Whereas yesterday's one that I overstretched the pixels, reducing the opacity produced muddy brown colours.

So now I could put a picture underneath. I thought the mermaid face I did a week or so ago would work under this marble, psychedelic effect. I quite like it!!! It is unusual for me to really like something I have painted. I am usually always thinking I could do better.

Grand day in the North today.
Not much wind and it got up to 22 deg C and I even walked out in a tee shirt up to the top of the nearby drumlin.

Then I attempted to cut the area of the garden that I hoped would grow some wild flowers but the grass is always wet and rank and needs a family of goats, nothing I have in the shed is it up to the job!


The guy who is head of the North Cumbrian food bank spoke at Zoom church yesterday.
Here we are in 2020 and people need help to feed their kids and even pets, its worse this year than its even been.
He says it will get much worse when the furlough ends, but their supplying fairly balanced meals for juniors and senior school children as well as families in need.
They also find whatever the needs are, they are supplied, which must be faith strengthening for the Christians involved.

I have been very fortunate in life, but when I was at school we were well aware of what it was like to be poor.

I was in the kitchen earlier. Someone was banging on the window (Otherwise I wouldn't have known. Why does no one ring my doorbell then I can see it flashing and know someone is at the door?).

Anyway, I opened kitchen door. A woman holding a huge bunch of flowers places them on the doorstep and says 'These are for Granny Pat.' They were a beautiful big bunch of flowers. I have been called many names in my life, but never Pat.

So I explained I was not Pat. But these are for your house number she said. I agreed it was my house number, but I was not Granny Pat. The woman stood there looking confused. She appeared to be a florist. So I said fine, if it is for my house number then I would welcome a bunch of flowers and went to pick them up. She gave me the dirtiest of looks, snatched the flowers back and charged off.

Sigh....
