What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

good evening all :)

4.4 today

we've been having a quiet day today, it's been fairly chilly here with a brisk breeze ;)

Just a quick trip to Mum's for a cuppa length visit and then back in time for mr gee's loaf to come out of the breadmaker :) (He makes one small loaf a week).

Cases of covid in our health authority seem to be shooting up this week :( oddly they don't all seem to be currently tagged by postcode so we can't tell where they are exactly, and it's a big area - botheration :sorry:

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@ianpspurs - I don't know whether having the 'mother' in the ACV would matter for chutney (though it may be better for other uses), since it's boiled :) I have found a couple of interesting sounding recipes. I hope the bug goes away quickly :sorry:

@TooSweetForMe - welcome :)

@gennepher - a pleasing and colourful painting today, the layering in the pink area gives great depth. Popeye obviously approves :joyful:

@Muddy Cyclist - your pond looks splendid and so colourful, it's worked so well :)

@jjraak - good news :)

@dunelm - such a bright eyed little bird and I like your foliage it's very effective :) your penguin patting sounds fun :joyful:

art bit -
thank you for your kind comments on my art yesterday :)

today's was painted on Fabriano studio 280gsm CP.

Thanks @geefull

Mr Gee's loaf sounds nice...

A beautiful rolling landscape painting today...

The garden has been extremely dry of late, with plants in the garden walls gasping for water, but we had virtually 24 hours rain overnight and today so I think it rectified the situation.

Also extremely cool today with temperature down at 11 deg C.
Sat out yesterday but no chance today.

Currently no one seems to see we are walking into another wave and 20% of the hospitalisations are double vaccinated.

Daily (digital) painting in Procreate.
Inspiration of colours and waterfall from Lui Haisu.
Then the dawn sky was liquid gold this morning...
And Popeye popped in....

Thank you @geefull and yes, lot’s of fun patting concrete penguins - before long they will all have names I think. Hugs for the increase in covid cases and botheration indeed. Should we carry a bell?

Good morning everyone from a dull yet dry start here at our little house on the prairie
The wonder wheel of a very pink roast beef salad came in at 4.8 this am

York yesterday, in the rain - park and ride - bus pass was excited to be used - it’s been a while. Rain slowed to a dripping tap by lunchtime. We are heading home along the coast today and although a pretty dull day forecast we plan to stop at a couple of small bays on the way and hopefully grab a decent lunch. The girl in the bubble is staying over tonight - deep joy. Happens every now and again and she has always been pretty good about it. Armed Forces day today and we have been invited for tea and buns in our local veterans allotment (for we have such a thing in our town) - will see how long it takes to return home - there is a bit of Roman Road on the moors over to the coast if visibility allows.
All the best for Wales today.

Painting today inspired by a visit to a Japanese Art Gallery in York to look at wooden block prints. Hope you all have a pleasant day of it and welcome to @TooSweetForMe. Must make some koffy.

I love Japanese wooden block prints @dunelm
This is brilliant.

5.3 this morning. Have a long lunch break today so will relax and read - which is good because I have 2 Zoom classes when I get back this afternoon.

Good that energy levels are high with the P.E. Diet. Who would have thought that prioritising protein would make you feel so well.

Good morning all. The weather in West Suffolk seems to be coming out in sympathy for our MP over his reprise of let's tryst again. Swipey decreed a 4.7 shall be recorded today. Better sleep score and lower resting pulse indicate at least a remission from unknown malaise. I hope the journey goes well @dunelm and the girl in the bubble brings you both deep, deep joy just by being. More wonderful art from yourself, @gennepher and @geefull. Rugby (Union) final scheduled against Wales today which will cause Julie problems - I'd go rugby. Glad the P.E diet works well @Krystyna23040. Do you think we will need a note when it is cross country?;) Salmon back on the menu here today, top of the shop P:E ratio:woot:, as joints liked the lurve yesterday. Tinkety Tonk Old Fruits.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and a special welcome to @TooSweetForMe to our special little, slightly off the wall thread, hope our postings bring a smile to faces.

A hmmmmm 6.2 on this ladder climbing, being shouted at day and generally getting into trouble morning.

Me and me's have been a hit and miss on catching up with postings, paintings, bird watching, cycle tyre crunching and veiled political postings just recently. This thread is part of my life, but not my life, it makes me smile, sometimes shout, but never ceases to amaze me, don't stop.

Now if you don't mind it's me and me's turn to bark at the postman and me and me's don't want to miss him again.

Remember the stays, stay safe, stay well, stay apart and stay away from the evil doom mongering media ( I put that bit in for @ianpspurs ).

Now breakfast is calling eat me and koffy drink me.

You're too, too kind - if a tad eccentric. Hug Mrs A J for me, Lord knows that sainted lady must need one. Flowers and chocolates might be nice from time to time it said so in the meedja;)

Relax Derek. Our Dear Leader has our backs. He has a relationship with facts, but it is just not monogamous.;)

Weighed Errant again. Today he is 4.4kg which seems much more likely to be accurate. He still needs to lose about a kilo. Its a long slow road, but then it took him months to put it all on.
The work upstairs continues. MrSlim is now filling, sanding and painting. I could go snd help, but have already put three coats on those walls and dont feel inclined to repeat the experience. So i am outside clearing up some rough patches. Planting more lettuce and radish.
