What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hello again folks, yes it really is me.

Another year, another dry January, Pep's boys going well, Groundhog Day?

Well, not quite. Friends may recall my travails with the dreaded shingles in the eye, causing much clouded vision last February. The good news is that the NHS performed a cataract procedure in September that has proven so successful that I only need glasses for close reading. I can now read road signs and am driving with a clear view ahead without glasses.

Not so great on the diabetes front. Several months of a lack of self control. But I CAN SEE the way ahead. LCHF on. Booze off. FBG 8.9 mmo/lt this morning. Glass half full (of diet cola).
Good to have you back aboard Cap't. I'll raise a mug of Assam for the successful cataract procedure. Of the three contenders I'd prefer Pep's boys to win the PL but I think a salary cap and draft system may make the PL a better product.

Thank you for sharing your artistic gifts.
Mate, he and the fruitcakes just keep "jumping the shark" denying there are any sharks or water and claiming to be unable to jump. Donkeys led by Donkeys. World leading performance of that particular insanity at PMQs yesterday. Is popcorn LC ? this is going to be an epic disaster movie.
Thank you @ianpspurs and I shall introduce “jumping the shark” to the local surfer community (we already have Donkeys led by Donkeys, but only during the holiday season.

Great news about the cataract procedure and good to see you back. Dry January? Sorry, far too faddy and what would my local landlord think? I may loose my chair in the corner. Be carful if you drive north of the border, Wee Jimmy Cranky has had all the road signs re-done in a fetching ersatz Gallic theme.

They need to take back control asap then. Obviously, it will, predictably, all go pear shaped but that is easily cured. Totally implausible deniability must be applied. Simples - and apparently many still are.

You are so right @gennepher. My new year's resolution every year is to be much more sensible and not push myself so much. This year I really have to accept that I cannot do what I could 20 years ago and that I must take proper breaks.

Really good news about your eyes @gennepher. You must have been so relieved that all is well.
It was a huge weight off my mind @Krystyna23040

Good morning everyone on a wonderfully quiet start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north
Lots of talk going on here about lack of parking and the proposed extension to one of the car parks down by the sea - £12000 per space they say! Big problem here in Saltburn-by-the-sea, smashing tourist destination vs not enough parking - shall I get myself a job on the parking enforcement team? Girl in the Bubble back to nursery this morning - 7.30 start. We will pick her up at 11 am and try and get some covid free lunch.

More water wash art this morning. I hope that your today is better than yesterday and that you suddenly get an intuitive grasp of reality - if so, send it to Boris. Time for some koffy.

It's the latest Dickens theatrical extravaganza.
Better then Billy liar......so some say

Hoyle of course playing the part of Dusty the Doormat as the regime wipes it's boots of any shred of decency as they enter.

With a rousing chorus of " the lies have it", as he joyfully pounds his gavel in exultant jubilation.

And grease smugg has more free time as he can clearly skip wardrobe and just wear his usual 16th century day wear.

critics are likening it to such masterpieces as "Alice in Wonderland ".

Others praise the extraordinary accuracy of the mad hatter's tea party feel of it

MSM obviously playing a major part in many supporting roles.

Bound to run & run, sadly

Ship ahoy, Captain

Great news on eye :)
All other meh, but You can get back in that wagon, as You have proved previously.

And football....
Hope it all fails ..but unlikely.
At least the challenge is still there. (for now)

Nice to hear from you

Helen told her mum, as a result of her time on the walk in centre a number of very unwell people were sent to hospital but they took 11 hrs to get in!

@ianpspurs yeh it has been raining all week in Sydney. Just finished my walk and I got rained on but it feels humid and muggy yuk
Sorry you were rained on. Muggy and humid?:bigtears: England's batsmen can't deal with straight balls never mind hooping round corners at 140+ kmph. We need rain.
