What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks @Debandez

Haha love it. Nearly bought my first Christmas jumper ( of this year) last week but decided on a one in one out rule so I need to make a trip to the charity shop first.

I did succumb to an M&S jumper at the weekend:D might have been 2 but they didn’t have my size in the second one.

One of the great secrets of a low carb diet - don’t eat out too often.
I'm an expert at eating out tbh and manage bs perfectly but it doesnt include carvery meals. So I think the secret is dont do carveries. You live and learn!!! And if I do go again I'm.thinking carnivore is the way to go. 'Yes chef please can I just have a plate full of roast beef for my £4.99'

Or just eat the meat at the carvery :D

You don't have to answer loads of questions on Twitter MC just retweet & like...it spreads the word & there is so much support there from medical professionals who are in favour of LCHF diets & other alternatives...I am tired of the laissez- faire attitude MC...good luck with the HbA1c.
Be warned, it's very addictive! I love it but housework is suffering. Worse things happen ;-)

@jjraak @Muddy Cyclist and @Debandez wishing you all the best with your Hba1c tests.
I'm very nervous. I know libre readings lower than actual. It's making me nervous. Very nervous. Because I shout out all over about low carb being the holy grail for me and many others for getting in remission. If my results dont match up!!! I'm keeping everything crossed.....

the numbers ISN'T top trumps lowest doesn't necessarily make ya a winner...sorry.
but you know this.

your scores are good,,there IS a natural equilibrium with in us all where out bodies, that say enough, no more .
be that too much sugar or too much of being driven below what IT feels comfortable with.

You'll be FINE honestly.
If the NHS has it's way anything under 56 should make you a remarkable success, so go girl

YOU have GOT THIS !!

(sad that last bit in the voice of Negan, for those who Know who Negan is,...just saying ;):D )

The preceding verses 5&6 remind me of you. (I read it in NIV.)
I find this so heartwarming. You and @ianpspurs have the same faith and share your favourite verses. Each appreciating the others verses quoted. It must be very special for you both. I love to see it even though I am not particularly religious. Isnt this thread awesome. It's like tackling the diabetes together is really just in the background.

A second good morning. @HarryBeau hug from afar for the cold, have a cosy day by the fire. @karen8967 take care today. @DJC3 you are so right, maybe if I just ate eggs and fish my BG would be perfect (not a chance, dont think it works like that and I would soon get bored). @Debandez thanks for the Christmas ads havent watched yet. I must confess I do love Christmas but just the Eve and the day. Then its over as far as I am concerned. Its all about the family traditions, the food, bubbly and board games. Theres usually football on Boxing Day and a late supper of cold cuts. Reining in on the prezzies this year though. Too much stuff to find a home for and we hope to downsize next year. No 1 son who is 28 LOVES Christmas, always has, is a great help with the food and gets us in the mood with music, films, etc. He can impersonate The Grinch and is word perfect has us in stitches! Bring it on!
My 27 year old son knows the lines off pat to the grinch. He has me in stitches too. Can you imagine if they got together!!

I completely agree. When I venture onto the other threads now I dont find it very friendly there seem to be a clique of people arguing over who has the superior knowledge. Well I will never be in that category and just do what I can while having a laugh and a bit of diversion from the daily challenge. Big kudos to @OldButBold for setting up this thread because it is my natural home where I feel comfortable. I have so much respect for you all.

Message nice and clear @gennepher

You make perfect sense, and I happen to agree

For Me.. High end 5-low end 6.. Is where I feel most comfortable.. The 4's left me feeling 'odd'
So I no longer have that FBG envy of those low scores, happy for those who get them, If they are ok with it, ... That why for me, anyone keeping below 7 in the AM is a winner in my book ... Far enough from the danger zone of 8, at a time of day where we can't really conciously or unconsciously affect the scoring...(as many dejected posters will testify )

Enjoy your day
Anything in the low 4's seems to be too low for me and yesterday after a long ( 9 hrs ) traveling ( and still in this country not half way round the world lol ) I ended up with a 3.4 again and felt really ill like I was going to pass out ...hence tested my bg .

The mods certainly dont get the recognition they deserve. Probably not enough hours in the day to moderate let alone join in other threads. That's what I feel. But the work they do is very much appreciated. And yes @jjraak it's so good to touch base with @Goonergal on here, this ultra friendly, very funny, informative but not in your face thread. I'm trying to sell it, have you noticed!!
