I cant fathom with the FBGs you get and how carefully you eat why yout A1c doesnt correspond. Maybe a Libre trial could help because it just doesnt make sense. You are entitled to feel cheated. I would.Ah, but you achieve good A1cs from there. Mine are rubbish at that point so there is the point of difference in our attitude to that level.
I am as @PenguinMum mid fives may not be ideal but I trust them to be a safe place to settle, will be joining @jjraak in his memoirs on this count.I really don't see mid 5s as a safe place though.
Both are fantastic, very different but good works of art. What a talent J had and a wonderful picture to remember him by.Fbg 8.6 at 4am
That surprised me because didn't I say yesterday that it was going to go down to 8.6 this morning?
Okay I shall now predict tomorrow morning fbg to be 7.9 (or under) (body, do as you are told...)
This morning's painting challenge to myself. It was a breaking wave. Acrylics and mixed media. A4 size. Took me two hours...I was totally engrossed in it and didn't want to stop...but I have the day to get on with and stuff to do...I wish I could paint all day today...

My partner J had said before he died just over 10 years ago that I could carry on painting his signature piece after his death. He showed me step by step how to do it. He even got extra copies of his source material for me. But I haven't done what he asked me to. I couldn't because it was his, and I cannot do calm seas. So, I took a photo this morning of the one he did for me, and I will show you. I have written on it that it is his work, so no one will confuse it as mine. It is mixed media. On green mount board. Caran D'ache coloured pencils. Red biro for the birds legs. And white gouache for the white of the waves.
I hope you like his painting
I am tagging @Muddy Cyclist to this....

Have a good day
Hugs for all
Take care
Tbh could do with some help picking out the actors needed, to give the roles the meaty performances they so richly deserve.
so pipe up with your own ideas.
5.6 this fine and sunny morning.
The bin men have failed to honour their sacred duty, leaving us all in deep distress. Glancing out of the window I just thought we had a new 'caring' squad, the rare type that put the bins back in their rightful place but the weeping and wailing of my neighbours quickly brought home the truth. No doubt phone calls will be made, I only hope your Bin Day is something to celebrate
The Watkins is my favoured route up Snowdon, maybe my mind blurred the images I have of that mountain. I have also cycled up and back down the Llanberris Path alongside the railway, there is a very short time span for doing this out of respect to the walkers, it was an achievement but not as enjoyable as walking. My favourite Mountain is Tryfan. Most liked walking area the Rhynogs between Harlech and Barmouth.

I can understand your fascination with that wave of yours, magical, so much action.
What a challenge for you. But you've got this! Ive no doubt everything will be so much better next week.Morning... up early off to work in sunny Northampton later this morning (optimism there )...enjoying my coffee while pondering the mysteries of T2D...clinic didn't go too well yesterday INR levels too high so back there next week...they did ask me if there were any changes of course I said no...on reflection I should have mentioned I am doing very low carb at the moment with a little I/F...I cannot do the whole I/F thing as Warfarin should be taken at the same time every evening with before/ food...so despite the extremely low carb FBG higher than usual (and I would like) I believe it's taking my poor old blood/body time to adjust...we shall see...this morning woke to a 6.8 and it's slowly rising...I expect to show some progress by the beginning of next week we shall see.
@gennepher what a treat for the eyes today. Your wave took me back to the first time we arrived at Watergate Bay on a blustery Good Friday and the waves were enormous with surfers in their element. Your beloved J’s painting is beautiful.
Glad your fbg is coming down. Have a good day Gennepher and Popeye. Keep warm.
Welcome to the chattiest thread in the world ;-) we all love it, glad you do too. Great fbs.Hello all,
Hope you don't mind - I'm dipping my feet into this thread as I just love reading some of the postings and really enjoying @gennepher's artwork. I am so jealous as I cannot draw for toffee - I'm not really a great talker and certainly not eloquent or witty as some contributors - lets hope I don't turn out to be a dead bore!
FBG 5.2 this morning which I am liking. Had a lie - in for some reason I seem to see better results when I get up later. - Think I probably sleep though DP.
Regards C.
So sad to read that your bin day did not go as planned. A letter to your MP will get you absolutely nowhere so perhaps the phone call will light up someone’s otherwise miserable day at the council offices. I think you may be best served by some energetic team of specialists from Glasgow.5.6 this fine and sunny morning.

I thought inulin was to help you sleep better, so it brings down bs too? Thanks, I did start doing the same a few months ago then somehow forgot all about it. Your BG levels are always spot on though so I shall start again.
I scrape cheese and save Parmesan rinds too!
That is really interesting. So it looks as though if you are carnivore converting protein to glucose is really useful because you can use it as fuel and your blood sugars don't rise.Strangely though, if all you eat is protein for a while (I ate a whole chicken over two meals yesterday), it seems fine.
The naming of and then talking to (or shouting at) small electronic devices is the only sane thing in the wacky world of blood sugars, medieval dietary practices and deep conversations with your liver. As a fan of the entire Dune series I had not made that association, now I have. Thank you
