What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning on a dull start here in L.A where the enforcers are split between locking him up and POTUS for life. I'm not but if any week had a clear message that human wisdom isn't worth a hill of beans it is this one. @lindisfel I too hope the nurse can provide help. @dunelm impressive mileage - I split my 10-12k steps into smaller chunks - and thanks for the riot of colour. Enjoy those grandchildren. We have the same two again today then Monday's two here tomorrow. Hopefully the little guy will be pain free then. The whole East Anglian tribe are here on Monday (may need an indoor egg hunt) so we ordered a turkey (frozen capon or goose were just too ££££s) from the aspirational farm shop butcher yesterday because the children like turkey. Question is what number of pigs in blankets can be divided by four after both dads have savaged them first?. Attached is a bummer man - did any flesh and blood person ever really say that? Enjoy your day where humanly possible because some situations are just late night in Gethsemane for even the most perfect.
I am afraid the trip to the nurse was allocated just 5 mins for b.p. test and she is a well qualified nurse and she asked me to do some blood pressure reading at home and it was very high at the surgery and I do not know why. I am not overweight, I do not smoke or drink much and I take a low salt input.

The nurse seemed upset she was just being used as a blood pressure tester and the problem was then passed on to another nurse to prescribe, she could not really deal with any other issues.

No doctors visible, I think the nurses are being put on and they are all getting fed up. The health systems is breaking down.
They are not dealing with problems properly.

Marjorie had to come back early from Carlisle yesterday she has upset stomach.

First time for ages I went shopping in supermarket this am also went to butchers else we would have no food for Easter.
Had migraine this pm but gone now.
Best wishes all

was found on a bench in McGarret Park - just in time as it was melting in the dark.
Clever....

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh no!

This is ridiculous.
Not good enough for you, and your health conditions.
Did she know any of your recent history?
You are under enough stress worrying about this.

I hope that now you are back home and you take your blood pressure at home it goes back to whatever it's normal for you @lindisfel

Don't know why but BG started to rise. I've been feeling really poorly since yesterday - feels like a permanent hypo. A bit woozy, cold, shaky, sore skin, plus pain has been really excruciating since yesterday evening. Spent most of the day in the big chair in my big fleecy hoodie under a blanket. Had salad for my breakfast but couldn't either prep or eat anything since. I want to get a hot water bottle and take it to bed with me, but Neil has already gone to bed so I don't want to wake him and I can't do the hot water bottle myself, so I'll do without.

Neil was feeling awful just over a week ago - maybe it was a strain of flu that the vaccine didn't cover. He was ill for over a week and only recovered a bit on Friday. Maybe that's all this is and I'm making a fuss over nothing but I find it quite disturbing when, on top of everything else, my pulse is racing along around the 100bpm mark (currently 88 and hissing in my ears) so I guess I'm really under the weather. Don't think I'll be attending the Move More class tomorrow. I'll be lucky if I can move at all, never mind more.

'Night all. Have the best night you can. I'll be thinking of you. Might say my prayers from my bed - I think I can be allowed that.

Is it with cutting carbs Ann? Your body can develop the low carb flu, but it passes after a short time.

Fbg 6.6

Nighttime wildlife camera

A busy night of cats, fox, & badger ...

The black cat in the beginning is Amy
Next is cat Merlin who jumps on the swing
Then comes along cat Midnight
And then Foxy Loxy
And then, the badger, KissyKissy

Creative is painting in Procreate of Lighthouse #19

It is daytime outside, although a dark gloomy rainy day, and everything is feeding, cat bowls emptied overnight outdoors, and even indoors in the kitchen, not one little cat biscuit left. Mr Blackbird is grumpy, no cat biscuits left for him, so he is eating the last few peanuts on the little bird table. Time to refill.

But first, a few minutes to myself with a hot cuppa...

Have your best kind of day!

Is the lighthouse keeper calling for help, trying to scare birds or asking you to stop? Lovely colour scheme, smashing sky

Good morning everyone on a bit of a miserable start to bin day here in the dark and dangerous north. The Ninky Nonks are busy rolling a dice and carrying out the requisit number of star jumps - I’m already quite tired. Low tide is at 1113 and despite the drizzly rain they, and Little Miss Pamplemouse are determined to have a walk down the beach. Welly boots are already gathering at the door. Art bit - some more squiggles. Have as good a day as you can. Hope things improve for you today @Annb. I really now need a koffy.

Happy national bin day Morening ladies and gentlemen and those who wonder where the sun goes on holiday.

Blood sugars this morning were a 4.8, not saying anymore about that today.

I have a safety koffy brewing and I feel I need it. @dunelm all that energy is tiring me out just reading about it. @gennepher nice lighthouse again. @Annb have you taken a covid test? Get well soon.

The saga of the outdoor flashing solar lights has been resolved Mrs J relocated them before I did. Well today is national bin day.

The house is very quiet at the moment, just sound of a ticking clock and the occasional slurp of koffy, ahh sheer bliss. Don’t panic I have already done 30 minutes plinky plonky.
Soon we should be meeting up with some friends for a stroll around a park, which also acts as a flood plain then going for lunch where we are rather well known and occasionally cause merriment. The conversations between the staff and us sometimes shock other customers of a woke disposition, with phrases along the lines of “ not if I have to take my socks off “ , we think we are quick with the wit, but the staff always get the better of us, long may it continue.

This afternoon a new idiot box is being delivered, Mrs J will set it up, she said yesterday, I dread the thought of another remote control, as long as I can turn it off I shall be content.

Now it is time prod the sleeping dragon, placating her with tea. Breakfast for me could be a toasted hot cross bun and not worry about the carbs.

Stay safe all

6.9 this morning. Yesterday 12g carbs and almost 18K steps so was hoping for an fbs in the 5s.

Today dog walk, shopping Aldi and then on to Tesco for Yeo Valley milk and Greek yogurt and now just waiting for my sister to arrive for a.morning of admin.

Thanks all for your good wishes. I am actually feeling marginally better today - not so shaky or sore. Just the pain in my legs stopping me getting around. I have, though, taken extra pain killers, so maybe that's why I'm feeling better.

BG was 10.0 at 4.30 this morning but dropped to 7.4 by 8.30. Pulse is much more like normal but there is still hissing in my ears. Not to worry - it'll fix itself.

Morning all from a drizzly L.A where this abode almost functions as a nursery cum care home. None of those needing the care seem to notice how things hang by a thread but life is far too JIT for yours truly. Youngest grandchild - The Little Guy ® - is much better today, thanks be to God. Maunday Thursday today, odd name which puzzled me as a young 'un. Link probably teaching the toothless to suck eggs. @Annb hug for still feeling crook but you sound more optimistic today. Where you pray is less important than the sincerity imho. @Krystyna23040 even your rest days sound exhausting. @dunelm and @gennepher thanks for sharing your art. @lindisfel I hope the migraine doesn't make a comeback and Marjorie's tummy is better. Toon Army man then? Dear Mr Levy should have gone for Eddie H and I would obviously be happier if they and or Glazer Fc suddenly lost the plot. @alf_Josiah I gave a hug for your low fbg and the other customers both woke and unreformed. Are you advertised as the cabaret thereby earning free koffy?. We all need a side hustle these days. Must be time for a tea run/nappy change/snacks or some steps here.
