What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All. 6.7 at 0800 so slowly coming down. Tried to do OMAD yesterday but had to give in to Americano and two large chunks of cheese at lunchtime. Dinner was later than planned and was last of turkey and cauliflower cheese (double cream and grated cheddar). Its a lot harder getting back to normal than I thought.
@Ziggy2017 how are you doing? @SaskiaKC so glad you stayed, love your posts and pic of your cat who is identical to my Bobbie.
@Cumberland how are you and Banger?
@ianpspurs anything that begins with a Twix isnt good for us.
Have a great Friday everyone. Stay well get better and stay safe.

good morning all :)

4.9 today

another greyish but mild day today which is fine by me :) We're taking mum through to the bank later (now a 36 mile round trip to her bank and around 60 miles round trip to ours), so we'll treat her to lunch out and get any shopping she needs.

There is a mobile bank which comes to the nearest town on Friday but that means her standing about in a car park in whatever weather and it's sometimes quite late arriving.

We had a really enjoyable walk around in Dornoch yesterday, all round the town and then down to the shore and back through the golf course, lots of people out and about with dogs and golf clubs (though not at the same time ;) ), making the most of the sunny spells and mild weather.

Hope your day treats you well :)

6.6 this morning. Whoa! Haven’t eaten anything very carby over Christmas but I have been very idle in terms of exercise. Also portions have been bigger than usual I expect, incuding snacks and too much wine - liver has been too busy with that and I expect to pay the price for a few days now.

Some great fbgs here today though - I’m in awe of you folks. @rhubarb73 Brilliant.

Off to Holywell bay for a bracing beach walk today with daughter, granddaughters and their large dogs. That should help.
@SaskiaKC glad you are staying, it’s sometimes hard to judge tone and nuance from a written post and its easy to get completely the wrong impression. Good for you that you have put it behind you.

Well, that was a useless Christmas present. "Alexa, what is my fbg?" I said in a really friendly voice ......:angelic:
BTW, which gormless clownshoe thought Twixmas should become "a thing??:arghh::arghh::arghh:"
If you had sugermate enabled and a dexcom G6 CGM linked it would have been able to tell you what your FBG was there are other diabetic and dietary skills that can give some good info but mine has taken to singing a very annoying song of late.

Thanks John - I guess when I start using MyDario appydappy on smartphone I will be able to get Alexa to do it. That will only ever give a ( highly dubious) number not a path to good levels so all a bit of a nonsense really. Still, the bantz here is fun.

@SaskiaKC - I am happy that you are staying around. You are one of the many who lift the mood.
It takes a certain kind of resilience to engage in online arguments without getting emotional. There is no closure and the last word always goes to the person with the most stamina not necessarily the most substance.
This site is a castle with many rooms - It's fun and interesting to explore, but if one room feels too hot, too cold, too lonely, or haunted by demons then you can always go back to the room where your friends are.

@DJC3 - you are too kind. My score today is an outlier, an aberration. A welcome one, but I'm keeping the bunting in the box for now. MrSugr still has me predicted at 40, where I've been stuck for a while.

i Like that, a great take on forums in general.

( trouble is i now started seeing it like Luigi's castle, one of those 'Mario' games..:D:hilarious::hilarious:)
