What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

If we get a shower it will do the gardens good, all the grass here is looking parched. @ianpspurs - snap! what a team ;) Have a pleasant day everyone :)
@geefull Today is exactly 3 years since I started testing and recording and I matched a luminary such as yourself! Your menus always sound impeccable - enjoy. Rain eh? This part of the world is drier than Jerusalem in normal times and these ain't normal! Dwarf cereals ( not meant to be dwarf but lack of water) ripe now. Plenty of wailing and gnashing of teeth from certain quarters. No sympathy from me very good year for apples and pears:angelic:

Well it was last evening when cooking dinner the blade for the food processor had been left out in the cupboard and when I was retrieving oven dish fell foul of the blade. Stung a bit bled a lot.

Oh no, I can feel your pain and hope you are okay now. One has to be very careful when handling blades like that. I did cut myself once but it was minor and I had learned my lesson. Hugs to you.

Thanks Keesha If I'd known the blade was there and uncovered I would have been a bit more more careful but these things happen and I'm OK now so will learn from the experience hopefully.

Hi @Ziggy2017, I hope you get some relief soon. If you cant hang on, don’t hesitate to use the A&E at the hospital. The standard blood tests cover a lot.

Although everyone is different and everyone’s condition is different, I had 2 years of abdominal pain. Went to A&E a number of times. But I wish I went more often when I had symptoms. Best of luck.
@Canvaspic thanks I’m sure I’ll be ok to wait until Friday the doctor I’m seeing specialises in stomach and bowel so hopefully he will have an answer

@dogslife she doesn’t live with us so I’m not quite sure though my granda says she often sleeps in. She claims she doesn’t like animals but every weekday morning she comes up and greets our dog Ziggy who seems to adore her. Sadly there is no stopping Alzheimer’s/dementia my nanny is currently on a medication for her dementia (it’s meant for if they start to wander around but my mum insisted we couldn’t wait until that happened) but I don’t think it makes a lot of difference. Stay strong dogslife and God bless
Thanks, Ziggy2017 for your kind words.:)

@dogslife sadly I’m not feeling good at all I’ve been out for dinner but it seems to have caused a lot of pain in my stomach I’m sitting with a hot water bottle again tonight
Sorry to hear that, Ziggy. Could you ring your GP's surgery and ask for an emergency appointment tomorrow morning? I have a lot of abdominal pain due to IBS and diverticulitis and I use one of those mini electric blankets/ heat pads with adjustable controls so you can leave it on for as long as you need. More comfortable than a hot water bottle and doesn't need refilling. Feel better soon.:)

@dogslife and @Ziggy2017, Zigs I’m so sorry ur feeling ill, it’s bad enough anytime but in this heat it’s rough. I hope you feel better soon.xx Both, I only saw the end of a thread about Alzheimer’s/dementia but did you know that a Keto diet can improve things for sufferers ( if you can control the persons food of course) it was in a link by Dr Bikman on Facebook. Xx
