What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Brilliantly poingnant - at 0725, Trump is doing his plumped up chest thing on TV - hope it turns into the dying swan
The world is resting in a hand basket in a very warm place.

I expected nothing else of our American cousins but I do know my nephew will be bitterly disappointed and I do feel sorry for his children spending their formative years under the presidency what will now be a rampant Trump.

Any way I have got my singing bowl out and with it's help hope to seek calmness in a turbulent world.

@gennepher love your art contribution for today as this new day dawns.:)

Have t good day all.

Another 8 with a 8.6 but in the whole scheme of things it at least something that I can change whereas the mess that is around us I can only hope for the best :nailbiting:

A guy was with us 0800hrs as promised putting a new board in our dishwasher and then we were off to Lidl for our shopping after breakfast.
What a beautiful day in the North Lakes after a moonlit but still very starry night.
Coming up to 1050 here it quite balmy again.
I just thought its balmy over here and barmy over there across the Pond.

Must admit I don't know what makes them tick?
D..

Good morning all - actually I have been up since before 5.00 am. No fbg but I am winning massively anyhow and anyone who claims otherwise knows the Libre/stabometer is trying to disenfranchise those poor Poles. Two options really, laugh or cry. Either way the sky won't fall in and we in the UK have a heroic, visionary leader.:angelic: Take care and stay off that golf course tomorrow.
Must admit I don't know what makes them tick?
Columbian marching powder by the looks of things. Lidl may have some on offer Derek.:angelic:

Last Tennis improvers group lesson of the year (most likely) and it finished on a beautiful sunny day... which on balance given the 2020 we have had, you can't ask for much more.

I sincerely hope my last golf for the year was not in the torrential nonsense we had last weekend - I had every conceivable bit of equipment and clothing on every radiator in the house!

Meanwhile - watching all the various talking heads but here is a thought.
Electoral college votes just now Biden 224, Dump 213... and yet he wants the Supreme Court to stop counting.. while he is BEHIND... isn't this what our US friends call 'Remedial Math'? :watching:

It may be he want's to stop the count before Biden possibly crosses the winning line at 270 votes.

"....and Off to the Rosebowl stadium reporter....,
afternoon Steve

Afternoon Debbie,... Amazing scenes here, debbie
the stadium is in uproar.

and in what many are calling the comeback of the decade,
The Trumptonian TigerPrawns are celebrating a decisive victory over the Biden Blazers

With the Blazers just taking the field for the 4th quarter,, leading 224 V 213
the Prawns are ascending the steps for the trophy presentation.

Many are calling this coach trumps finest moment, tactically outsmarting his rival by
using completely different rules......back to you in the studio..."

Best wishes to those there or with US friends.
Pray it all resolves peacefully and we move on

Seems fitting for the day.
apologies to the purists.
loved the original, but for a zombie apocalypse,
think the lack of editing suits better.

No real painting yesterday, just a few self lessons painting chrysanthemums. The yellow ones on backing paper and the red one on an A5 piece of unsized rice paper.
Lessons are paying off, these are two decent Chrysanthemum pictures.

Fbg 6.7

An American friend has been emailing me through the night over her despair of Trump maybe getting in again...

So, I have been awake awhile...

My painting offering for today...digital.
In Procreate, then Snapseed for frame and name.
I was going to stop after an hour, but this is more therapeutic than artistic. So I just carried on working, playing, altering it. Then it yelled STOP at me. It is now 9 am and I have stuff to do...

Superb sun and forest on an Autumn day, nice composition.

good evening all :)

4.3 today

didn't sleep particularly well, I think it was stress by induction from the US ;)

Who do you think will be brave enough to tell him finishing first is not necessarily a win :D

Shopping day here and it was the busiest I've seen it in a while, loads of green welly wearing people and a distinct lack of large packs of toilet rolls, fortunately I still have some ;) (green wellies and toilet rolls :angelic: )

An unusual thing happened whilst we were in ASDA, there was a staff anouncement that mentioned something like staff being requested for 'dealing with an adult' this was shortly followed by a group of four staff walking together across the shop. Finished our shopping and went out to the car and just as we were about to drive away a police transit van rolled up to the front of the store and the two officers went inside. Just as we were exiting the car park up drove another police transit van.
We thought perhaps the police had been called to pick up some shoplifters. (or just some fresh pancakes :hilarious: )

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@JohnEGreen - nice set of photos, looks like your walk was a good one :)

@Krystyna23040 - Kudos for looking for the upside :) is Zoom difficult to use?

@Muddy Cyclist - interesting wave photos, haven't been to Barmouth for a long time but we had some happy holidays there in my childhood :)

@dunelm - two good chrysanthemum paintings, I particularly like the loose way you've painted the leaves :)

@gennepher - lovely glowing light through the trees in this painting, I like it :)

art bit -

ink and watercolour wash - from a photo found on the internet.

That is a really brilliant drawing and wash, I like you these studies you do very much.

Thank for Sea photo appreciation, Zoom, fast shutter, small aperture and Mrs MCs head, she is just the right height, to rest my camera on. :)
