@Ianspurs, can I ask about whey protein? Where you get it from and what it does for you. TIA
Several places sell it but mine comes from here. The idea is to increase protein intake with as little fat or red meat as possible in my case* - as per the attached. I especially like to have it in coffee after the gym. The coffee after workout comes from this but not advertising their coffee as I use Nespresso. I need to strengthen my core to compensate for a congenital back issue. No idea if that helps. *I will have steak tonight with halloumi chips:banghead: but ideally once a week - Sunday roast to please JKP - would do me for red meat.

First meal at 1530 - lamb liver, 2 rashers bacon, chestnut mushrooms all fried in olive oil, several cups of black tea. Second/last meal will be oxtail stew with sprouting broccoli, cauliflower and brussels sprouts. Normally I have coffee with cream in the morning, but today has been problem after problem, so that didn't happen.

Lunch as photo - made another hm chicken liver pate and had a portion of it with seeded crackers, cucumber, celery, pepper and beetroot kimchi followed by a few raspberries and my new hm yoghurt which worked and is so much tastier in my view than the commercial stuff but is helping me to put back friendly bacteria - some varieties are just not in commercial yoghurt as this one needs body temp for 36 hours to survive and multiply whereas commercial ones are fermented generally for a few hours at a higher temp so only some of the bacteria survive this -the more hardy ones!
Dinner venison meatballs in hm passata and 10g of lc high protein pasta and glass of red followed by one of my hm lemon and lime jelly creams - plus, couldn’t resist a spoon of my new creamy yoghurt.
Plus still drinking my clove green tea I’m a convert to this now.
@ianpspurs good to see you on the thread. I definitely, like you, prioritise protein these days and it works well for me, I feel, as a method. I’m sure that a few years ago I did not eat enough protein but hadn’t understood just how much I needed each day to keep muscle integrity as I age.
@Outlier welcome to the thread and hope you enjoy using it to record your food I know I find it really helpful

Food on the go today.

Hungry much earlier than usual and had to pop out during my morning’s work to pick up some cream and dark chocolate - no quick food in stock as I was about to go away for a few days.

Lunch at Euston was 2 garlic and herb chicken thighs from the hot counter at Sainsbury’s, followed up with some Serious Pig snacking cheese.

Dinner was a beef ‘gymbox’ from German Doner Kebab, delivered to the hotel courtesy of a ‘we haven’t seen you for a while, here’s a money off voucher’ from Deliveroo.

Hotel fridge also nicely stocked for the next few days.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a couple of cheesy biscuits at the end of an organised walk I attend. One of the walkers usually makes cake for us. They look lovely but I always decline. Today she’d made cheese cookies and assured me no sugar or wheat flour, just parmesan, cheddar, ground almonds, seeds and egg white. I’ve asked her for the recipe, they were so gooooood :hungry:
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and a PE bar.
Dinner: Meatballs in tomato and mascarpone sauce with runner beans and a couple of baby carrots followed by SF strawberry jelly and cream.

B: ff greek with seeds and blackberries. Had put this together last night so was extra thick.
Supermarket shop, and I ate a whole bar of milk chocolate on the way home. No idea why, (other than it was reduced!) and didn't even like it :banghead:
L: 2 chicken drumsticks.
Made an almond cake froma new recipe. Added some ginger. Looked awful and rose unevenly but tastes great so now all in the freezer
D: hubby cooking. Shakshuka with eggs and cheese on top. He even did a lc soda bread, the remains of which are also now in the freezer. One brandy and soda water.

Edited for typo

The cheese cookies sound good, please share the recipe when you get it. What a lovely person, did she make them just so you could share them?

Wednesday Bed 7 3 FBG 6.5. Feeding day for the boys. They informed me they wanted chicken nuggets?? I told them I had free range chicken breast that I would cut into strips and dress. That was acceptable but they wanted it in the little "chip baskets" they had with their burgers last week! I made a mix for the coating with breadcrumb, parmesan and parsley and used free range chicken strips. I am informed my chicken "nuggets" are the best! My own food

B. TAG paleo granola with coconut milk.
L. Leftover salmon, prawns and avocado from yesterday's DD seafood salad.
D. DD chicken provencale. It's weird, I don't like olives but I can eat them as an ingredient in a recipe. I fried a bit more cauliflower slices as it was a big cauli on Sunday.

@ianpspurs - glad to know you are about and "lurking".

Breakfast shortly: will be ratatouille with some strips of the gammon steak, which I didn't, after all, bother eating last night. (I did eat the vegetables but not the meat.)

2nd meal will be pork sausage with cabbage.

I managed to get a delivery slot with Tesco for today to save Neil's back/shoulder but I've just received the e-invoice and there's going to be lots missing. Not happy with that. Probably because of the windy weather in the last few days stopping supplies getting through.

Thank you @maglil55. I will stick around for a while desperately trying to avoid my known pitfalls: Diet Doctor, DGF, most homemade swaps, clean Keto. Not bg control personal taste preferences. Today will be a compromise day food wise with more gms protein than fat.
3 x 750 mls Assam with almond milk and inulin 5.50 a.m. until 11.35 am - all good thus far
Whey protein coffee with 15 mls cream, Fattbar almond and vanilla cookie (Dirty Keto?) - no erithrytol which is why I now avoid DGF; If we could make anything close we would; 2 h/b eggs
Seriously LC roll - they assure me their palm oil is certified sustainable and palm oil has benefits - with lamb shoulder from Sunday - 1 Timothy 4 v12 KJV this morning pricked my conscience so red meat (grass fed, high welfare) - and mint sauce. More Assam and inulin - fibre is also a priority.
My basic main meal -mackerel salad with spinach powder and toasted pine nuts this evening. Biotin, Nutri Align and Vit D. I'm very comfortable with that. More gms protein than fat but a dirty day nutritionally IMHO.

They appear to have their own where's Wally? thread. These look similar and they are vegan so far more woke. Goodish fibre and protein. May work with smashed avocado and smoked salmon but then (almost) anything does. Would be good with Epoisses - JKP can't stand the smell of that so .......:angelic:

Bed 6.8 FBG 6.7. The wind gas whipped up again, sleet came raining down when I left on the school run, and horizontal sleet battered our faces walking to school.

B. TAG. On return scrambled egg with spinach and smoked salmon on the side.
L. Nothing
D. DD cheese crusted omelette with pancetta, mushrooms, tomato. Couldn't finish it. Incredible how large a two egg omelette looks.
Coconut milk.

Busy day including starting my first batch of fermented peppers - they need 72 hours - will let you know! Also did some of my usual peppers roasted, skinned sliced into strips and then put in jar with a few cloves of garlic, some rosemary, a dash of balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil - just keeps in fridge for about a week, gather fermented ones once put in white wine vinegar after their fermentation will last 4 weeks in fridge. Next batch yoghurt ready in am.
Late lunch exactly as yesterday home made chicken liver pate with slices of pepper, celery, cucumber and a spoon of beetroot kimchi with the hard to get M and S seeded crackers. I’m going to a large city next Tuesday so an M and S visit planned. I’ve got 2 more packs in stock but don’t want to run out! However the link provided by @ianpspurs to those other low carb crackers look like a tempting replacement. Pudding a few raspberries with my last hm yoghurt
Dinner roasted whole free range chicken (came with giblets too which are still slowly cooking for stock with 2 previous carcasses had in freezer) one chipolata sausage, roast celeriac and cauliflower mash. Pudding LC raspberry bakewell with remains of first batch of yoghurt.
Just about to sip my green clove tea which I seem to have begun to be addicted to! I’ve also started adding a slice of raw ginger root to it.
