What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Morning all. lovely day here so hope it is wherever you are. Enjoyed the fried veg so much yesterday, am having it again today with 2 bratwurst. @DJC3 the eggs survived! I got a portion of prawns out of the freezer to make a prawn cocktail for tea. My bg is starting to come down and so has my weight so I'm feeling happier. I see the starting of a waistline!!

FBG was 11.8, so it wasn't a very good start to the day and BG has continued to creep up on the stregth of a cuip of tea, followed by a cup of warm milk - it was very cold here.. Now 12 noon and BG has risen to 18.6 on the strength of one more cup of tea. I've taken 60u of Humalog and was intending to have some bacon and eggs for my breakfast but I think I'll have to leave it for a bit and see what the insulin does to bring down my BG without food. Very hungry right now - that always happens when my BG is high.

I have a stew based on a tagine cooking at the moment, using up the 2nd half of the lamb that Neil bought for me and some bits and pieces of tomatoes and a bit of a peach that needed to do something with onion and tinned tomatoes added. No North African spices this time - just ginger. Should be OK for later on today. Still hoping for some bacon and egg before that though.

Hi All
succombed to joining Mr PM with chilli last night with cauli rice.
brekkie today was usual slice LC toast and copious tea.
lunch was early because had hair appt over lunchtime so had 4 Higgidy mini frittata morsels with a cup of tea, in a mad rush.
Supper will be my beloved chunky cod fingers with frozen cauli cheese.
might have a gin and soda beforehand.
fingers crossed Mr PM has had no more episodes so will be keeping all crossed for the next week till his appointment.
@Antje77 hope you are enjoying your holiday adventure and I salute you for camping in this weather, imo in any weather!! @Annb hope you enjoy the lamb with ginger, sounds delish. @RosemaryJackson well done on the LC and weight progress.

Not posted meals for a few days and unlike @maglil55 I have no idea beyond the day I’m on.

A bit erratic today as on the road - long trek across London and then a coach to Brum due to train strike. Bought M&S ‘best ever’ sausage rolls and removed the pastry for my journey. The meat filling is very tasty indeed. Also bought some rollitos, but those ended up being dinner!

Just stocked up in Morrisons as I have a few days in an Airbnb. But not before I’d popped into town to add to the jumper mountain @DJC3 and @maglil55 - kept myself to 2 at FatFace, where they have 20% off. One of the two fitted me in 3 different sizes :hilarious: went for the middle on after consulting the shop assistant!
I'm now eyeing up the existing jumper mountain to see what is destined for the charity shops!

Thursday 6 October - bed much better at 7.2 FBG 7.8. @Annb like you my BGs continue to rise but today they started dropping back just before midday. Not as high as you though. Worst I got was 9.8.

B. Just TAG

L. Nothing

D. Desperation set in and I had a small portion of the Paleo Food Company Almond and Berry granola with soya milk.

Later a SLC pizza with tomato, mozzarella/cheddar and mortadella.
Lots of water.

Son and wife are away for the evening so boys are staying here. I've made 3 different meals so the SLC pizza was welcome for speed.

@DJC3 sometimes they are appetising! I'm resisting a few things and trying to stick to OMAD and today's were much better. MFP likes me even less today as it is determined I'm not eating enough.

I've got 2 boys to get to bed now as it's a school day tomorrow. @Antje77 - food looked good. I'm a great lover of squid.

B , chia seed pudding nuts and strawberry mixed with greak yogart
L . A meat feast salad with 2 boiled eggs thrown in for extra protein
D Hm chicken curry on cauliflower rice
Gallon of coffee today also

Pretty perfect day’s menu in my book, especially the gallon of coffee.

Away from home in a hotel, so not my usual breakfast! I had full fat Greek yoghurt with chopped strawberries and cashew nuts.
Not much else to eat then until, a dinner with friends at a Brazilian carvery type restaurant, I forget the proper name. Anyway ate a small amount of salad but meat really was the star of the show. Was enjoying the food and company too much, so forgot to take many photos.

How coincidential!
Like @Jaylee , I also had a fantastic meat fest at a Brazilian carvery, and like @Rachox I also forgot to take many pictures because I was too busy talking to wonderful friends I met for the first time outside the internet!

But I can add a picture of my plate of things from the cold buffet before the meat was brought in.
