I made a very nice beef and onion stew, slow cooked for some 6 hours the old fashioned way.
Enough for at least 4 days, I'll try a new job tomorrow, and if it works out I don't expect to have any energy left for cooking.

Beef, onions, garlic, a tomato, tomato paste, various spices and mustard on a slice of LC bread stewed along for some binding.
Had it with a buttered slice of LC bread.

I’ve been listening to Chris van Tulleken’s Ultra processed People on Audible recently ( I know a couple of others on here have read it) it’s only just dawned on me that SRSLY bread is actually an ultra processed food. I only really paid attention to the carb count originally. I have a freezer full to use up but there will be no more after that.
I’ve been meaning to say, take a look at the Low Carb Food company bread. That’s the company I always use. I buy their rolls, loaves and pizza bases. their email today reminded me to order more and tell you!

Thank you. I meant to add later that I’d looked at these and the ingredients are so much better than SRSLY. The bread is very good too I agree. I’ll swap to this bread as soon as my SRSLY stash is gone. Must remember to cancel my subscription.

I can’t actually remember if I had breakfast today which is a bit of a worry.
Lunch was prawns and h/m chilli mayo in a SRSLY roll then a DGF Crimbo crumble found in the freezer. Hurrah.
Dinner was late. Too late to cook what I’d intended so ended up being a M&S burger with smoked cheese and gherkins glass of red and a few nuts.

Tea
Bacon, egg, sausage, tomato and mushrooms
Vel steak small. 1 Duck egg. Shallots

Due to a lack of planning, I ended up having a shop-bought egg & cress sandwich, with a small pork pie for lunch today (not pictured). My numbers went from 5.1 to 8.8 two hours later. So I'll think twice about having that again!

Anyway, I thought I'd have something a little more low carb for my tea tonight. So I cooked a sirloin steak, with button mushrooms and garden peas.
