Put a hot water bottle under the blanket. Dennis will be there like a shot.Wasn’t hungry this morning so just black coffee until ‘breakfast’ at noon of scrambled eggs and bacon.
Boiler has conked out - can’t get an engineer until Tuesday. Woodburner is misbehaving and the smoke is coming the wrong way - into the room. So a cold afternoon which made me hungry. SLC cheese sandwich and a DGF cake around 3:30.
Dinner at 6: small slice fried calves liver, air fried pork belly, cheese filled mushroom, broccoli and sauerkraut. Glass of red.
Now wrapped in a blanket trying to entice Dennis to sit in my lap and keep me warm. View attachment 57989
My usual problem is getting back on the horse so to speak after over indulging in carbs but so far in the last 6 to 8 weeks I have managed to go straight back the next day. Everyone is different and carb tolerance differs too , I find its better for me to have a splurge then for ever craving . For some they are better staying low carb and maybe then their cravings diminishes.7.3 is pretty good after that blow out!!!!! And probably well worth it.
Does anyone know if the odd splurge is OK, and if so, which I am hoping it is, with what level of frequency? Once a week, once a fortnight, once a month?
Panic! I can't find the recipe anymore despite using the search bar!D- the perfect cold winter’s day to try @maglil55 ‘s feather blade beef recipe: verdict fantastic!

Would you mind helping me out, that looks amazing.
I'll go find out what feather blade beef is called here,
Today will be the second day of sauerkraut and cauliflower mash, the rest of the week was rather unorganised, foodwise. But I did discover a very tasty low carb cracker at (Dutch) Aldi.
Found it, thank you! It’s on maglil55’s CMT (and mine too now!) Do you still have that?
I find I get occasional cravings for things I don't like (and have never liked). It's very weird. One was fish and chips. I would never have fish and chips. Now I enjoy the fish and chips I make with low carb dressing, celeriac chips, and homemade tartare sauce. Last night, I had a longing for tablet. I loath tablet as it is so sickly sweet. I have never, ever liked it.My usual problem is getting back on the horse so to speak after over indulging in carbs but so far in the last 6 to 8 weeks I have managed to go straight back the next day. Glad to be of service. The sauce is excellent and the beef is melt in the mouth.Late breakfast of smoked salmon and cream cheese in a LoDough wrap ( found at the back of the cupboard - quite a few months out of date but polystyrene seems to last forever!)
L- tuna salad. DGF cake

Featherblade is cut from the shoulder of the beef. Our butcher in Scotland calls it spalebone. It's one of the tougher cuts but it is so slowly cooked that it melts like butter.Panic! I can't find the recipe anymore despite using the search bar!
