What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Feeling decidedly ropey this morning after an evening of exuberance at The Who concert. The only remedy was a slap up breakfast of steak and eggs which did the trick.
Lunch was schneiderbrot protein bread with cheese and coleslaw and some Montezuma’s absolute black buttons.
Dinner- lamb steak. Cauli mash. Green beans from my cousin’s allotment and beetroot greens ( also from the allotment) sautéed in butter.
Black coffee and tea with almond milk all day. IMG_3090.jpg

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a phd bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and a Carb killa bar.
Dinner: chilli con carne with cauliflower rice.

B: ff greek with seeds and 2 large strawberries
Long walk with a friend
L: 3 hard boiled eggs with mayo. 1 small ice cream
Hours gardening
D: more ff greek with 1 very large strawberry and 2 sqs gm lc cinnamon cake, topped with grated 100% chocolate

Then 2 chocolate biscuits at a meeting...:banghead:

Breakfast: Beans on RyVita.

2nd meal: will be a lamb shank slow cooked with vegetables. Neil hasn't been able to get lamb shanks in the months that I asked for them so I gave up asking so on the last shopping list I put "lamb - any cut" intending to make a tagine but he came home with a lamb shank. Could cut the meat off and make a tagine, but that would be sacrilege so I'll cook it as a shank and make a tagine with something else later in the week.

Not a low carb day!
Coffee and cream
Decided I fancied Cous Cous and roasted veg. Wasn't much but blew the carbs along with a few Black berries.
Porchetta and tomato
Smoked salmon
1 Slice of cheese

Out first thing for cars MOT so just black coffee during the morning. Good outcome though albeit short term - our car passed but with advisories on all the tyres so will have to sort out but not yet!
Lunch two boiled eggs with half a keto buttered roll followed by a few garden raspberries with yoghurt.
Mid pm as a reward after tackling trimming our very high hedge had a square of LC cake with black tea.
Dinner started with AVC in water then lots of bits with a duck confit leg, beetroot kimchi, hm hummus, celery and radish as well as glass of red wine. Followed by some stilton cheese and Swedish crispbread. Just had decaffeinated coffee with cream and two squares of 90% chocolate.

Yesterday, I didn’t feel like breakfast but was then hungry after an hour or so working in the garden so I had Greek yogurt with a sprinkling of Palio granola. Lunch was prawn salad. For supper we had a cheese omelette, I added a bit of ham to mine. Afters was some low carb rhubarb crumble with clotted cream.

Today, no breakfast and headed out to look for a new sofa about tenish. We stopped for coffee at a little cafe I order an americano with cream but they didn’t have any so I had to go with milk, we also failed to find a sofa we liked. For lunch we I had two veg sauss, two slices of bacon, two eggs, with kale and courgette from the garden. This evening I had cheese on LC toast and LC rhubarb crumble with double cream.

B: 2 scrambled eggs
L: travelling south to North, stopped at Middleton Hall near Tamworth. Lovely cafe actually did salads. 2 thick slices nice ham, half a boiled egg, cheese all for £4.95. Bargain. Had a turmeric latte, tasted gorgeous = sweet. When I checked found it was made from a premix elixir aka syrup. Not monitoring so no idea what the carb cost was to me, but it spurred me on to find low carb version to make when back home.
D: in Blackpool where 2 out of every three eating places seem to be fish and chips or reduced price cocktail bars :banghead:. Finally found an Indian where had a mixed grill with salad. Later 1 glass white wine, much deserved!

Breakfast: Peanut butter on RyVita. Really didn't fancy eggs in any form today and there was really only a choice of peanut butter or cheese.
2nd meal: didn't, in the end, get the lamb shank on yesterday - all sorts of delays slowed me down and then I didn't feel like having food so just left it. So, it is on and cooking today. Should be ready about 6 pm. Bit late getting it on today as well - I was waiting for my cleaner to come and do the floors for me and didn't want to be in the middle of food prep when she came. But she didn't come - not yet anyway, and I decided just to go ahead. The shank is in the pot with celery, onion, swede, carrot and tinned tomatoes. By 6 o'clock it should be a rich stew.

Friday 21 July - bed 7.6 FBG 7.1. I've had a really busy 5 I'll try to catch up now. All I remember about last Friday was journeys to recycling and lots of shopping with son, and transporting hubby to the football and back!

B. 2 slices of SRSLY toast with deli roast pork and vegetable salad. TAG and Benecol dairy .

L. In-between journeys, 2 slices of SRSLY bread mad into a bacon sandwich.

D. The only thing I had time for! Another hot dog roll with onion, crispy bits, mustard, ketchup and a butcher's sausage. I also stopped for a coconut cappuccino while out.

Saturday 22 July - bed & FBG both 7.9. The start of the town's festival week. Hubby was feeling unwell. I was transporting son & family to the local sports centre as the youngest grandson had decided he was swimming in the Festival Gala - 50 metres FreeStyle. I knew he'd probably be fine as he is fast. He just lacks the dive in and tumble turn. He was up against Club swimmers and came in 4th. He could have been 3rd if he'd tumbled. Good result, though. He got a medal, got to meet a former Commonwealth Swimmer, and came home to an email to Mum from one of the coaches asking for him to trial for a swimming club.

B. L. & D. Same as yesterday. No salad with dinner and no cappuccino. It had to be quick as I was going to sit with the boys while Mum & Dad went to another festival event. They omitted to tell me it didn't finish until 11.30pm!

Sunday 23 July - bed 7.6 FBG 7.5. Just relaxed after yesterday.

B. TAG and a SRSLY sandwich with egg and bacon on it. Benecol dairy free.

L. Nothing

D. Usual campari and soda. The infamous rib eye that the woman in the butcher's didn't want as it had fat in it. Portobello mushroom, peas, tomatoes, mustard, a few "real" chips. CC little chocolate pot.20230723_185011.jpg

Monday 24 July - bed 7.9 FBG 7.7. An even busier day as the son and DIL are off to Newcastle tomorrow for their anniversary, and we have the boys. I had to get in the GF food stocks and finish cleaning their bedrooms.

B. TAG and Benecol dairy free.

L. SRSLY sandwich with bacon.

D. Peri Peri chicken and vegetable kebabs. CC little chocolate pot with raspberries. 1/2 a fulfil bar.

I also still had my aqua class this morning and finally relaxed with a gin and zero in the evening.

Tuesday 25 Jul - bed & FBG both 7.9. Up early to grab a breakfast before transporting son & DIL to the station, picking up Hubby's order from M&S, then taking the boys for the annual foot measuring/school shoes saga.

B. TAG and 2 slices of SRSLY toast with ham and mustard. Benecol dairy free.

L. Nothing. Still out with boys but stopped to get them a Subway.

D. GF steak pie. With spinach, broccoli, peas. It was a new one from the butcher. Nice, but the pastry was too much for me. Filling was very good.
CC little chocolate pot.

Moretti Zero after I finally got stories done and boys settled for the night. 20230724_185300.jpg
