B: ff greek with seeds and blackberries.
A little later 2 slices HiLo bread toasted with butter.

4pm some brie

7pm first festive meal out (and yes it is still November).
Salt and pepper squid (turned out to be battered, but was only small)
Turkey dinner, I left the roast potatoes and the parsnips and the cranberry sauce. Ate turkey, gravy, 1 tiny stuffing ball, 2 pigs in blankets, broccoli, 1 sprout.
Drank 1 white wine with a lot of soda.
Finished with a mint tea while everyone else had puds.

Very very frosty but the Christmas lights looked pretty.

Lots of roast chicken to use up and a carcass to make stock with. Out of ideas just now. Maybe something like chicken pot pie without the pie crust.

Breakfast will be bacon and eggs - I know that, at least.

Em has gone to school, having arrived here at 0630 and gone straight back to bed in my bed for an hour. Had to get her up then to give her time to shower and have breakfast (pancakes, blackberries and syrup. I had some blackberry compote ready for her, but it was too sour for her so she swapped it for syrup). Used the last of my yoghurt in the pancakes so I'll have to ask Alistair to get me some this evening.

Morning all. A good hard frost here today. Didn't post yesterday because I was having problems with my laptop. It let me go on fbg thread but not on here. I have Sciatica atm so I'm in pain and feeling very sorry for myself. Had some hm soup yesterday that I could just heat up in the microwave and a tin of pink salmon with mayo for tea. I've got some cooked beef mince out of the freezer for lunch and probably 2 boiled eggs for tea. @Annb, thoughts are with you for your DIL. Have a good day all and keep warm. :)

DIL is reported to be conscious and making jokes although it was a much more difficult operation than expected and she will take longer to recover than the week she was hoping for. Food isn't going to be a problem for a while - she has to be tube fed and on an insulin drip.

@Annb glad you have got positive news of your DIL it sounded like very invasive surgery, hope recovery goes smoothly. @RosemaryJackson sciatica is a really awful affliction and I hope you can find a way to relieve it.
Yesterday I became a grandma. Youngest son & wife had a little boy who we are all smitten with from his pics. You’ll have to trust me but he is gorgeous. Hoping to meet him in person early next week.
Back to food yesterday:
Brekkie usual slice LC toast, copious tea.
Lunch was wafer thin ham with some antipasti on the side. Tea.
Supper was chunky cod fingers and cauli cheese.
Today same brekkie.
Lunch last of the antipasti with Milano salami. Tea.
Supper will be three TTD meaty sausages, green veg & small spoon of Mr P’s baked beans!

Thank you @ianpspurs we really enjoyed it and although it's pricey one nest was more than enough for us two and only 2grams of carb winner in my book
Dinner plans for today are my usual Friday salmon with peas and I'm sure will also include glass of dry white wine.

Well, after last night's festive meal out, both hubby and I had uncomfortable night with odd symptoms, yet we'd both eaten and drunk very different things. Not quite hangovers, not quite indigestion but a cup of tea at 3 am was called for!

Today mid morning
3 eggs cheese omelette
Skipped lunch as went to local Nt house to see Xmas decorations and I know NT cafes do nothing low carb!
Just ginger tea and even that tasted of honey which wasn't listed as an ingredient.
Hubby had a gingerbread latte topped with cream, and a cheese scone. He didn't take it kindly when I reminded him of his bad night after 3 carby courses and beer....
The marriage survived! Just!

Did a freezer audit past couple of days, and Christmas cook ahead planning so made

Loads of grape juice from our homegrown frozen grapes. Will make jars of jelly as presents.

Red cabbage to freeze for Christmas

A duck stock and cauliflower soup (using up odd items found in freezer), which did for my dinner.

Hubby had oven fish and chips :banghead:

It’s lovely to see two really good events have happened here: Many congratulations to all @PenguinMum , and what a relief for your family @Annb that your DIL has come through the surgery.
My food today-
B- scrambled eggs on marmite SRSLY toast.
L- IP ham and cabbage soup made from the broth and leftover meat from the gammon joint we had this week.
D- cottage pie mince. I intended to put celeriac mash on my portion but forgot, so had a salad and a white SRSLy roll with it instead. 2 glasses red.
