I'll be celebrating a belated Sinterklaas with my friend tonight. :)
I'll go for a quick cold swim on my way there, so now I'm debating if I should give a small correction for my current 6.8 or not, as it will be at peak action right when I'm swimming, which drops me.

With this friend, it's always fun to work out what to eat when together: she doesn't eat meat, I eat low carb, and we both like finding things that suit us both.
This time I'll bring fresh mussels and dipping sauces, she'll provide small festive bites. :hungry:
Will report back to you tonight or tomorrow.

Presents at Sinterklaas come with poems and 'surprises', and I wouldn't mind people crossing fingers I'll get my surprise there unscathed, I'll have to drive very slow, it's jiggly!
It's us, swimming and sailing in a river made from jelly, with a muddy bottom made of dirt from my garden and peanut butter. Which is where the presents are hiding... :hilarious:

I love belated celebrations; they spread the anticipation as well as the pleasure over a longer period than if you keep to the appointed date.
That's such an imaginative surprise you've created for your friend. Fingers crossed you get it to her place in one piece.

No breakfast
Quick walk, just an hour, with friend. So good for my mental health :)
11:30 ish 2 Big bowls of hm veg soup to which I added cheese and slice garlic sausage. . A larger than usual portion of Morrisons Coffee ice cream (again good for my mental health but a one off that won't become a habit)

Have sore throat and feel grotty. Can't afford to be ill as have family duty tomorrow. 6 hours in a car.
Very stressful afternoon trying to arrange tomorrows trip

D: pizza on a fathead dough base, which I'd rolled too thinly so a bit of amash up but very tasty with 1 tomato, soem of yesterday bacon wrapped pork and a mix of gouda and cheddar cheeses.

Bg really shot up this morning from waking at under 6 to 9, on nothing but cwc. Assume stress?
Stayed in 8s most of the afternoon but down to 6 before dinner.
Finishing on 7s.
Very odd patterns, stress and illness suck.

Morning all you lovely people. Yesterday was a washout. Didn't go to my granddaughter's because of a really bad headache, can't drive with such a bad head. Had a few naps and some tablets and it finally went last night. Today it's pensioners lunch so it's a mystery but I'm taking a jelly and cream for pudding. Have a good day all and a better week. :)

Breakfast: avocado on RyVita.

2nd meal will be: pork belly slices with the last of the Brussels sprouts. These are left over from yesterday - I had brought them to the boil briefly and then sauteed them in butter. Not the way I usually do them, but it worked very well (Marcus Waring tip). No cooking needed today. Need to do some baking though, just in case of visitors.

A bit upsetting - DIL arrived home from hospital yesterday evening but had asked for it to be kept as a happy surprise for Alistair and Em. In fact, Alistair found out a few hours before she arrived, but Em had no idea. When her mum came in the surprise was total and Em completely lost control. We had no idea she had been so worried, poor wee soul, because she had held together so well while DIL was away. She wouldn't leave her mother's side last night and actually slept with her (Alistair got to sleep on the couch) and wouldn't leave her mum this morning either, to go to school. She's clearly very relieved to have her mum back but the whole experience has shaken her. She will have to go to school tomorrow, but DIL hopes to have reassured her sufficiently by then, that all is well and there is no danger any more.

Rosemary Jackson I hope you felt better today
Tea 7.00 to 10. am then 2 babybels and more tea for tablets
2 Advent calendar cheese portions and an Adonis triple choc crunch around midday
KC Multi seed torchon ham roll and Fattbar almond and vanilla cookie and CWC with the usual suspects while delivering garden furniture and waiting for grandchildren in Cambs at 2.45. I did sneak one of JKP's McDonald’s cheesy bites which is allegedly 6 gms carb and pretty DJF. The bacon cheeseburger, sans burger obs, had been appealing but I'm not on a health kick this month. McDonald's for the 2 children who weren't there yesterday. Almond Mum is so last year but I'm not full on Goblin Mode - some self-respect left (not much but some)
NLCK chicken in leek and cream sauce with their sedani pasta, , quick, easy so ideal for evenings/nights like these, water at 6.35. No images - I ticked the no publicity box

So how did my stressful day go?

Bad nights sleep, not dropping off until 4 ish.
8:30 2 scrambled eggs.
Nothing then until
8:30 pm chicken with veg and gravy, and mash, and 2 glasses wine (all in pub)

Questions (answers in the graph below)
When did the stress start?
When did it peak, and how many times?
When did I get home and start to let go?
When did I eat potato?

So yesterday usual brekkie of slice LC toast, butter and copious tea.
Lunch was egg mayo piled on a Ryvita, more tea.
Supper was mini meatballs in a little tom & chilli sauce with cauli rice.
Today same brekkie.
Lunch will be early as out for eye injection at 1.15. Probably a quick cheese & ham combo from fridge.
Supper will be lightly spiced chicken breast with green veg easy so Mr P can cope in the kitchen.
