Evening @MargaretttMorning.Yesterday was an up and down emotional day for me which, just like the "old days" left me craving sweet things all day.
Even the cold cooked chicken breast I bought in M&S the other day had been cooked in "sugar glaze". I removed the skin and just had to hope not much had soaked into the skin.I blame food manufacturers for some of these cravings for sweet things. Why put sugar in savoury foods like baked beans, peanut butter or mayonnaise?
Unfortunately, it sells.
Unforgivable!Even the cold cooked chicken breast I bought in M&S the other day had been cooked in "sugar glaze". I removed the skin and just had to hope not much had soaked into the skin.
A rub of butter would have produced am equally nice looking finish
Nodding my head up and down at this. Maybe a future plan. For now I'm still getting over giving up nicotine lozengers so as long as my carbs are under 20 I sigh with relief. We're all different, but when I started my low carb journey way back in 2003, I went cold turkey on sweet foods and although I'd thought my tastes might change, I was unprepared for just how quickly that happened. Worth a try. Nothing lost if it doesn't work for you.
