What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

For lunch I had a sourdough bacon sarnie, but my CGM didn't like it. My blood glucose shot up to 10.1, and didn't return to baseline until almost three hours later. I maybe had too much bread (two large slices). Anyway, hopefully my CGM will be happier with dinner: sirloin steak, mushrooms and cauliflower. I'm sure it will be.

My aunt also made sure I'd have lots of good food on the ferry. :joyful:

Had tuna for a very late breakfast after boarding: tuna.

And leftovers from yesterday, mackerel and salmon with lettuce and seaweed. :hungry:

I'll arrive in Harwich at around 7:45 pm so I haven't eaten it all yet.
Looks as though you were well prepared food-wise @Antje77, which is just as well. There's seldom any suitable diabetic-friendly food available whilst in transit.
 
Evening all

Today:

B: Two poached eggs topped with a pat of butter, avocado and three crevettes, seasoned with black pepper.
Water to swallow tablet.
Espresso.

L: Clams and tiger prawns in white wine sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, garlic, leeks, double cream, rosemary, butter and parmesan cheese.
Steamed French beans and mangetout smothered with butter.
Garlic chestnut mushrooms.
Water to drink.
Skipped pud.

D: Seafood salad made with brown shrimps, mussels, finely shredded red cabbage, apple peel, celery, white cup mushrooms and baby plum tomatoes with a dollop of aioli for dipping, topped with toasted pistachios.
Water to wash down tablets.
 
Breakfast kefir with some seeds and nuts
Lunch some cheese, nuts and low carb seeded crackers followed by peel of a local apple
Dinner half of a pizza made using a low carb base (from the low carb company) and topped with passata, chicken, mushrooms, Serrano ham and cheese served with salads

Will be having a few squares of 100% chocolate with a decaffeinated coffee in a few mins.
 
B-h/m yoghurt with a spoonful of m&S grain free granola.
L- Cheese and ham toasty with mustard and h/m mayo( low carb food co. Bread). DGF Crimbo Crumble for pud. Found these in the freezer, nearly 1 year old!!
D- Lamb leg steak, garlic cauliflower mash, steamed cauli greens, mushrooms and red pepper. Few squares of Montezuma’s AB to follow.

B: Two poached eggs with a knob of butter and avocado seasoned with a good grinding of black pepper.
A wedge of Époisses.
Water to swallow tablet.
Espresso.

L: Wild Alaskan salmon fillets baked with calabrese, chestnut mushrooms, double cream and lemon verbena.
Steamed runner beans and mangetout with a pat of butter and toasted pine nuts.
Water to drink.
Skipped pud.

D Seafood salad using tiger prawns, brown shrimps, rocket, baby plum tomatoes, celery, Romano peppers, cucumber, Halkidiki olives and salad onions, dressed with an olive oil, balsamic and garlic vinaigrette, topped with toasted pistachio nuts.
Water to wash down tablets.
 
Breakfast kefir then fried some tomatoes in olive oil and served with one slice of low carb toast with a fried egg
Busy day no lunch
Dinner Sea bream cooked en pappilote - usually use dill and lemon plus butter for flavour but today used sumac, lemon and Olive oil and preferred this mix I'm a new convert to Sumac. Served the sea bream with cauliflower cheese and glass of dry white wine. Then a few squares of 100% chocolate with decaffeinated coffee.
