Pleased you got back safe it was hectic in brum thought traffic would be heavy good job you had the chocolate tip from @GoonergalWill catch up on everyone’s posts for the last couple of days later, but for now will just post my own.
Very tired after drive back from Brum, what a really great couple of days - it was like meeting up with old friends.
B: Weatherspoons eggs benedict with mushrooms instead of muffin and coffee with milk as no cream ( havent had milk for yonks, don’t miss it)
L: Tried to pick the most low carb aspects of the lunch - salad leaves, tuna, boiled egg
MAS on drive home, a pack of 3 Hotel Chocolat 85% batons ( thanks for pointing them out @Goonergal- they were a lifesaver as I was getting v stressed in the traffic getting out of Brum)
D: Chicken and cauli cheese that daughter had left in the fridge from their lunch.
Oh joy! I still remember the performance getting from the Five Ways Roundabout at Edgebaston (where our office was) down onto the Aston Expressway then right across 3 lanes in rush hour. Didn't matter how often I did it - it was always , indicator on, deep breath and hope for the best with the foot carefully positioned near the break and the accelerator! Will catch up on everyone’s posts for the last couple of days later, but for now will just post my own.

Spaghetti never bothered me but that move onto the expressway was something else.
The only other place I found a total nightmare was the Magic Roundabout in Swindon. There was nothing magic about it.
Have you tried cream and SF jelly
@shelley262 Loving the t shirtPleased you got back safe it was hectic in brum thought traffic would be heavy good job you had the chocolate tip from @Goonergal
T shirt looks greatLove your new T shirt!
Think I’ll change my avatar now too - although mine makes me look a bit like Superman without the external pants.
Hi all. After a cloudy start a lovely sunny day in Birmingham.
Brunch - 2 fried eggs and bacon followed by 15g almonds.
Dinner - the lure if Five Guys so close to the hotel proved irresistible. Bunless bacon cheeseburger with lettuce tomato onion and mayonnaise followed up by 15g almonds and 3 Hotel Chocolat 85% batons.
Feet now firmly up as I managed to cover over 37k steps today.
Hi not sure if the offer applies to all Holland and Barrett’s but this weekend I found carb killer bars and phd smart bars buy 1 get one half price. Not quite as good a deal as my local Tesco, £2 each for phd but might be worth checking out @DJC3Evening all. Everyone seems to have had sunshine today which is great - thought the summer was over.
B: poached egg, smoked salmon and avocado. Coffee and cream
L: Salmon fillet, prawns, the other 1/2 avocado and mayo. Followed by a caramel CarbKiller bar. @Rachox I found some in Boots today! This bar just had 1.4 net carbs but I was still quite nervous anout trying it after the PHD bar shock. No problem though I’m happy to report. Quite expensive at £2.50 each so I’ll look out for them on special offer.
MAS couldn’t resist an apple off my tree, they looked so shiny and juicy I just had to have one. I should change my forum name to Eve. 100g is 10g carbs according to Carbs n Cals app - a lot for a snack but I dont regret it. Put me into 7s but less of a spike than I expected.
D: roast lamb with cauli cheese, buttery garlicky cabbage and halloumi chips. Still no celeriac to be had here.
Finished with a low carb Jaffa cake. Thanks for the recipe @maglil55 and cheers @Rachox if you are having your usual this evening.
@jayney27 your weekend sounds like it’s been fab, glad the weather stayed good for you. We all need to let our hair down now and again.
@Goonergal 37,000 steps? Crikey!
