What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I just had this for lunch: OMG it was so delicious!!! Bet my BG spikes up, that'll be the rice, but I've got a spiralizer, I could do a carrot like that, or close to it anyway. I could also try beetroot - at last! I've been wanting to for a while but it's been too cold to eat salads here for a long time, now might be different, especially as I also have the smoked salmon, and ginger and wasabi... smug expression:

Now I'm just waiting to test it.

I've been trying and trying to get that Low Carb bread from Sainsbury's (Hi-Lo) but they never seem to have it, well I finally got the other one, the LivLife one from Waitrose today - got 2 - one to eat and one to freeze - so watch me tomorrow! Tee Hee!

B: Oopsie bacon sandwich
L: Oopsie chicken roll, salad leaves, tarragon yoghurt; raspberries & cream
D: Moussaka, lambs lettuce, raw cauliflower
S: Almond apple cake - it's even nicer on day two - more moist; stored in a plastic bag in the fridge (ready sliced, so I don't get carried away and carve off a huge chunk!)
1442 cals, 42.4 carbs
I'm loving all the pictures on here, by the way - they all look delicious!

Hello Everybody
B. Raspberries and cream

L. A slice of bfree bread toasted, 2 slices of corned beef and Greek salad

D. Pork chop, cabbage, carrots, onions and roast celeriac .

B: Ugg bread toast with butter & Marmite
L: cold roast chicken slices, salad leaves, coleslaw
D: Harissa chicken tray bake with onion, peppers, olives, cashew nuts & goats cheese. But without the chicken. Cooked it for time given in recipe but on serving (only to myself thankfully) discovered that the chicken was still raw but everything else cooked. Had the rest of the bake with courgetti. Was still delicious. :) Choc chip scone with raspberries and clotted cream.

Today I was wedding cake testing ... it sent my BG up to 10.2, never been that high. But I figure you only get married once so it's ok? And by the time I get married in December I'm hoping to have this Type 2 in check

B Coffee and cream x2
L Protein roll,cream cheese,pastrami and rocket salad
D Steak,celeriac chips,sprouting broccoli and peppercorn sauce.
S Due to being a Murphy before I got married, tonight will be a few Jamesons, I have declined my pint of the black stuff, so Happy Paddys Day, Sláinte mhaith, hic hic :bag:

Went to a reunion yesterday

S Full Cream Milk Coffee
B Chicken Slices and Cheese
S Salted Peanuts
L Chicken Caesar Salad (No Croutons)
S Salted Peanuts
D Half Chicken and Salad
4 x Low Carb Beers
3 x Red Wines

And this morning BFG 3.9 that was a surprise

Today:
B: 2 slices of LivLife Seriously Seeded Waitrose Bread - toasted - oh my gawd! HEAVEN! The taste is just...:wacky:

Breakfast, Poached egg , Spinach, and Bacon, coffee with double cream.
Fish pie for dinner, Smoked Haddock and boiled egg, in a double cream and cheese sauce topped with steamed broccoli and cauliflower, and grated cheese. Yummy!

B: coffeencream
L: a huge home made burger with all the trimmings except bread (mayo, lettuce, sun dried toms instead of ketchup, sliced beef tomato, mustard, cheese and onions) There were 2x the trimmings as there was burger, and it was a biiiiggg burger. Also olives.
So of course the dog walk afterwards was a wee bit challenging. But I managed.
D: Dinner? that's a joke, innit?
S: about 10.30pm I thought 'ooh, maybe I ought not to go to bed and wake up at 2 hungry'. Which meant I had 2 squares 70% and a plain coyo.

What's "coyo"?

Yesterday was a comedy of errors
B - McDonald's Double sausage & egg mcmuffin without the muffin
L - Salad bar unavailable. Only low-carb alternative was another McDonalds! Breaded chicken - 50+ grammes of carb.
D - Was going to be salmon & cauli rice - both were off when I got them from the fridge! Ate a Mattesson's pork sausage instead.

So, no veg, too much protein and too little fat *sigh* . At least total calories was OK.

Notice the lack of snacks - even on St Patrick's Day I have to draw the line at Guinness these days.

so far today, 125g full fat plain yoghurt with crushed walnuts for crunchiness, 1tsp cinnamon for flavour and a glug of double cream for the hell of it! I`m considering shakshuka for lunch and it will be home made curry for tea.

B - almond milk smoothie with kale & carrot & flax seed
S - gingerbread man (bought for me) oh dear :lock:
L - courgetti & pesto & grated cheese; almond milk, carrot, flax seed & spring green smoothie; easy peeler
D - to have homemade lentil soup & grated cheese
