What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Hi all, busy day and late getting home, I attended my first yoga class, really enjoyed it.
Coffee with cream when I woke.
Took a homemade smoothie to work for breakfast, almond milk and low carb granola
L salad of leaves, tomato and cucumber, homemade cauliflower soup, salami crisps
PhD smart bar on way to yoga
D cheese and tomato omelette, halloumi wrapped in bacon and some extra thick cream with sprinkle of granola, glass of red

Mega day tomorrow, full day st work then drive to Manchester for work on Friday!

Ok. I NEED this.

Did you make it yourself?
Yes and it's the quickest thing ever. Lo dough is a low carb low calorie bread substitute which you can buy here https://lodough.co/ and it makes a great pizza! It can be a bit dry so passata is recommended rather than tomato puree. Slap on the passata right up to the edge so it doesn't burn, chuck on whatever cheese you fancy (I used mozarella) and top with pepperoni. Oven for about 6 mins just until the cheese melts and eat as fast as you can before anyone else wants a piece!

Thank you soooooooo much!

Thank you soooooooo much!
Several of us make pizza using this product, I think @maglil55 makes toasted sandwiches and her own version of a Mac Donald’s breakfast wrap. I also use it for making quiches. It’s very easy to use and super quick, seems that so long as your toppings or fillings are tasty enough it’s a good substitute.

Also have one of these sticks with the bristles so they can be captured and ejected at arms length.

You’re very brave, I’m impressed!
I heard conkers are good repellants too, but of course they don’t appear til late Sept when the worst of the spider season is over!

As soon as I get back from my hols I am placing an order

I have my eye on a chocolate brownie recipe which I'm going to try tomorrow. I don't have a very good track record with desserts, so fingers crossed!
I have a serious cake addiction. If you come across a decent recipe for cupcakes please do share and don't forget to post pics of the brownies.

Good luck! Lol. I can't wait to see them!

Breakie
Green Tea with cinnamon, water, as fasting 18 hours from dinner 8pm last night until 2pm lunch today

Lunch
Super tuna salad with raw Kale leaves, first time tried it. Its crinkly, crunchy leaves gave
a added body to salad leaves, celery, 2 cherry toms, avocado, spring onion, the Kale taste is really nice, and seeming excellent for ones liver with many other good values topped with home made mayonaise, also cider vinegar and virgin olive oil drizzled over it all. Yummie pleased I have found a new friend in Kale certainly a winner to add to many recipes.
Green Tea

Dinner
Lean mince with herbs, cilantro, basil added to al dente Caul,Brocoli, and some baby green beans, slithers of parmesan cheese over the top, lots of black pepper with a slurp of cider vinegar and olive oil drizzled over.
Natural Greek Yogurt, flax chia pumpkin seeds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, sesame

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: bacon, salad leaves, 2x cherry tomatoes and pork scratchings followed by SF jelly, cream and LC chocolate granola.
Mid afternoon by the pool: raspberry phd bar with Diet Pepsi.
Dinner: crispy duck, with cucumber and spring onions, a smidge of plum sauce and 3, yes 3 pancakes :wideyed:, I usually only risk one, that was tonight’s holiday treat. 5.3 before and 5.1 after two hours. That’s another ‘cheat’ I’ve got away with :)

B. Grilled cheese and tomato on low carb bread homemade with almond flour. L. Slice of home made quiche. D. Left over silverside with egg and avocado salad and home made coleslaw. Made oppsie bread or cloud bread whatever you call it,for the first time today and was surprised you can actually make a sandwich out of it. Now i know longer feel deprived.:singing:

What does Oppsie bread taste like and what's the texture? Sounds promising!

I'm not really a pizza fan, but of course since not really being able to have them, I want them it's a really good substitute for a thin crispy pizza base
Oh goodness, I am so blown away especially I agree as you say, not really been able to have them, as Pizza is No No, I agree, but I am reading so many saying eating quiche, pizza and other, is this because everyone is on medications, which allow them to eat the forbidden foods? This is the only thing I can think of, i.e. when one is given medication for blood pressure, docs say, by taking a pill every day you can continue eating salt, surely, isnt it more sensible and healthy to simply cut out the salt, have to say so surprised at so many eating goods that are on the No No list, mind you I dont take medications, but I do make pizza but I use grated cauliflour for the base and its really nice. Of course not the same, a super substitute.

Everyone is lucky devils again as your post, I thought they were forbidden.

It's because they are made with a substance that is very low in carbs. I'm not on any medication as I'm just barely prediabetic but don't want to develop full blown diabetes so am being very careful with my diet

Hope all had a good day and that journey to Manchester @jayney27 goes well and that your blood test was ok @DJC3
I had been hoping to do day long walk today but weather lousy so ended up having coffee with friends in the morning and then working this pm! Diabetic retinopathy first thing in am so sun will probably come out big time it usually does! Must remember this year to take my sun glasses! I had a painful walk to car last year as forgot them.
Breakfast one slice of bacon and egg
Lunch tin mackerel and olive oil with a few seeded crackers and nuts plus half a CCB
Dinner slow cooked beef brisket and cauliflower cheese followed by SF jelly and yoghurt.
