Today is the morning after last night. Had a social event and could not resist a slice of lasagna. Or the mini apple pie and custard. And everything in between. Sigh.
OMAD until the weekend. And I know it’s going to be tough ...

I don’t have Herbes de Provence either I just use 1 1/2 tbs of mixed Herbes and 1/2 tbs of rosemary. I remember Googling what was in H de P when I first found the recipe and that was the nearest approximation that I had in my cupboard.

Good idea, I have both in the cupboard.

Think I'll press some seeds in the top next time

Hi, today it’s been green olives, then brussel sprouts in pancetta, butter and garlic cream cheese

Later it’s going to be leftover bolognese with kale and parmesan followed by berries, cream and greek yogurt

Lunch was so filling...made a nice change from bacon and eggs.

Buying more strips tomorrow, will get a few packs so don’t have to ration them.

Weighed this morning and am now the lowest I’ve been for 2 years...piled it on after hysterectomy so really happy with that, need to buy new jeans woohoo!:singing:

Can’t beat needing to treat yourself to new clothes! And just in time for Xmas. Well done!

Thanks @Goonergal, what did you say the carb count was? Being lazy, not working it out myself here :joyful::hilarious:

Depends on the chocolate/cocoa/cream cheese used. With last nights combo of Lindt 90%, Lidl cocoa (8.7g carbs/100g) and M&S full fat cream cheese = 1.4g carbs per piece.

Evening everyone.
Breakfast was my usual protein peanut & chocolate bar with a cup of tea
Lunch - a selection of pies & pasties were brought into work. Made the best of it - chose a sausage roll, and a turkey sausagemeat, bacon & cranberry roll, removed all pastry and just ate the sausage from them. No idea on carb content but my BG agreed with the choice

Dinner - not decided. Not hungry at present so may wait till morning. Have poured myself a pink gin & diet lemonade - yes it’s only 6.30pm but been waiting to celebrate my Hba1c all afternoon and I am only having the one. Plus sitting “patiently” with a 5yr old writing over 30xmas cards needs a drink for sanity reasons :angelic:

Breakfast - Hi-lo toast and butter
Lunch - Out with Husband who is working from home today. Tarragon mushrooms in lots of butter on a piece of sourdough.
Dinner - Home made herb crackers with salmony cream cheese, bresaola, tomatoes, cucumber and olives. Strawberries, cream and chocolate granola.
Snacks - Mosser Roth 85% chocolate, nuts

The crackers were really nice, I think I'll make some sesame seed and cheesy ones for Christmas. Not both ingredients, separate types! Think they'll be ok to freeze.

That doesn’t seem like much food Ian, I thought you didn’t want to lose any more weight? You certainly don’t look like you need to.

Breakfast half slice of Hilo toast with egg
Lunch herby crackers - loving them - with butter and pate plus a bit of celery and cheese followed by advent calendar choc.
Dinner cauliflower cheese, lamb chop, mushrooms with glass of red wine followed by the last of the lc trifle.
I’m hoping to choose one of the cheese scones recipes to make up tomorrow and have with home made soup mums fave think may try the diabeatus one to see how it turns out - will report back if do but it’s a bit tight time wise in am so will play it by ear.

Evening everyone. It’s been a busy day mostly in the kitchen with a few panicky forays into town for bits I’d forgotten and one trip to the charity shop where we thought I’d inadvertently taken Mr Cs library book yesterday. It wasn’t there so more panic before a quick phone call to dayghter revealed she’d borrowed it. Phew!

No breakfast as fbg was 6.3. Lots of Tea and coffee though.

L: DD breakfast sandwich. Brownie/ cheesecake square afterwards.

D: 4minute beef in the Instant Pot. My goodness this was brilliant! Worth buying an IP just for this I reckon. Had it with roast sprouts and broccoli and gravy made with the reduced liquid with a pinch of xanthan gum whisked in.

Was proud of myself today as I made my daughter’s birthday cake - coffee and walnut, including praline but didn’t lick the spoon or bowl once!
