Breakfast one fried egg on a slice of Emmental cheese. Coffee&cream.
Lunch: One of the microwave seedy crackers. Half topped with cream cheese ( M&S whipped) and smoked salmon, the other half topped with the egg mayo I scraped out of the middle of the sandwich I’d made for Mr C’s packed lunch yesterday ( and which he forgot) followed by lazy mousse

Dinner DD chicken provencal with lettuce and lemon mayo.

If anyone needs psyllium husk powder thereis a voucher in H&B Healthy magazine. The mag costs £1:99 but the voucher is worth £8 so is worth it. (PH has the unprepossessing name Colon Care Plus powder in H&B)
I clearly look after my colon then as use a lot of PH!

Thank you so much especially for recording your amounts for CCBs. Will scroll back for microwave seeded crackers. I’m sat here with a yummy cup of decaf from my machine this evening contemplating getting ready for my night out. I tend to make a full jug and then it’s there when needed!

It was when I woke up this morning and realised it was going to be a more than 1 cup of coffee morning, I wished I had it. (Then made a single mug and the bottom fell through the filter paper so I got in a mess trying to strain it, not a good start so a quick flick to Amazon cheered me up!)

Hi all

@Chook glad the tai chi went a bit better today

@dunelm thanks for the recipe. Will adapt and report back - only a hint of chilli needed for me, so will probably leave that out of the marinade and then use some of the Hotel Chocolat cocoa and chilli finishing oil that I was given for my birthday

@shelley262 will send through my CCB recipe and happy to contribute some other ideas too

Continued feeling hungry today and ate a bit more. Lunch was lamb doner kebab meat. Dinner was pan-fried Dover sole picked up on offer in M&S with a lemon butter sauce. Added more lemon, much better. Rounded off with a large dollop of extra thick double cream to get fat levels up.

Evening all,

Nothing fancy for me as I'm really not hungry anymore.

Breakfast cup of tea
Lunch one bacon medallion and one egg
Tea salad with tuna in oil

I've been doing 16/8 fasting most days as I just don't wake up anymore craving food. Yesterday I managed 19 hours and only actually ate scrambled eggs in the evening.

Evening. Much more organised tonight :D
Breakfast - protein peanut & chocolate bar with a cup of tea swiftly followed by a large coffee - felt the need for caffeine!
Lunch - the sausage meat from two sausage rolls with another coffee
Mid afternoon - shock horror more coffee
Dinner - the biggest venison steak you can imagine - my first time trying venison. Thought I’d use that ‘go big or go home’ I hear random celebrities using in random situations! Loved it! Had with roast cherry tomatoes, peppers, onion, mushrooms & courgettes
Will have my square of mint green & blacks later with a cuppa

Yum! I love venison, it makes lovely sausages too. We had a venison haunch for Christmas a couple of years ago and it was gorgeous.

okra. Cigarette smoke, old, new, and permeating a room, wafting from a balcony, etc etc. That I have so many chronic diseases. That I take so very many meds. Being cold. Anything too loud, but specifically non-classical music and the television.
@BibaBee mmm don’t you love it when a vegetable dish improves as leftovers? And that one sounds like a worthy substitute for my butternut squash stew which I dream of every day. maybe after Feb HbA1c test I’ll give a SMALL portion a little run. I used to eat all I wanted, because, vegetables!

It was lovely. A generous portion was about 9g of carbs, so not too bad on the carbs front. Quite a few people seem to be able to tolerate butternut squash on here, so hopefully you'll be okay to indulge. It's one of the foods we haven't tried yet with my other half.

well heads been away with the fairies last few days, sorry for no posts

so here's my food tally
Tues
Breakfast /brunch..made cottage pie monday, so leftover today..nice

Dinner...fancied ribs so had got half ribs from tesco 15g carbs
seemed i wasn't too hungry so that sufficed for the evening.

Wed.
B skipped, apart from some nuts and a cuppa before heading out
cooked bacon joint tuesday night and cabbage, intended for lunch today.
very tasty...(starting to think old school..cold cut isn't something i've really had over the last 20 odd years,
yet was always on the table/fridge growing up..find it really easy AND enjoyable.)

Dinner. cooked curry meant for half tomight half tomorrow, skipped tonight's had some olives. cheese, ryvita x2 and nuts
appetite diminished last few days.

Side note:
have decided the double cream/coffee route isn't for me.
Not my fav drink and while i enjoyed the sweetness of the cream, i don't think i felt 'right' in myself having drunk it..if that makes sense.
So i'll probably stick with the teas,
and now the cold meats are making good sense to me, that and an assortment of veg, will pad out most of the weeks meals/snacks..a few treat types cooked up and my meal plan is done.

i find skipping breakfast to be do-able when out early, tend to get to 11am before hunger/roughness kicks in then i have to eat.
but on days where i am out later, the poached eggs/full breakfast OR greek yoghurt + fruit sorts that meal out nicely.

love the sound of so many of your dinners, but if i'm honest even if i could cook like you guys, it would only be the odd occasion most weeks.
Food was a love affair, now i just see it as nice but it's main purpose is to get me to the next fuel stop..

( just needed to say that out loud, for some perfectly obscure reason.)

and yes, i'm still be posting ...AND stealing your food ideas..:D:)

Night all.

I seem to have overdosed on that 90% chocolate. That's good, because it's keeping me up at night....

Bfast 1/2 avocado, egg, small piece my bread, decaf/soy/cream, a square of said chocolate
Lunch bowl of greens, 10 cherry tomatoes, whole tin of unsalted sardines, piece of my bread (fiber dontcha know), a TWO squares chocolate

Supper that cream of green stuff soup with the addition of some blenderized pine nuts. It was very tasty but oh what a mess in the blender. I think if I'd used more pine nuts it would have been less messy, but as it was, the cream didn't sloorp the pine nut butter off the sides of the blender jar. Sigh. Piece of my bread. TWO MORE squares chocolate. BG went down three US points. My calculator says that's 0.16 mmol/L...

Maybe I am so stuffed that I will risk no buffer food in stomach for night time advil....

@jjraak so if meat was left on the table when you were growing up, you had either no indoors pets or VERY well behaved ones! My cat would wrestle a whole ham off the table once he smelled it!
Hubby home! He gets a tin of awful but oh so delicious baked beans with leftover soup chicken in it. "Chili"!
Edited to add the double spacing that didn't automatically appear on posting as it does on my phone....

Aww...our beloved REX. Border collie.
Meals were a family affair back then, me, mum, dad, sister, brother. (All sadly gone )
Rex sat begging by table, looking up mournfully, lifting that paw, gently ..lol

Sis talking to him in Gaelic, telling him to sit, as she gave him titbits of meat...then meat covered and back into kitchen cabinet or fridge (no freezer back then )...simpler times

Hope you don't think the winner seems insensitive when so much loss involved. The new (to me) avatar and wistful description of, clearly, fond memories deserve a winner rating.

People who think they know everything.
Very sunny but very cold here in Yorkshire - luckily we haven't had the threatened snow for this morning (yet).

Breakfast: Bulletproof Coffee

Mid morning : 50 minutes of Tai Chi (day off tomorrow to give my knee time to recover)

Lunch: Nowt

Dinner: (Mr C's favourite) Eggs, bacon, low carb sausages, mushrooms, grilled tomato and maybe some baked beans - or maybe not - I'll see how my BGs are at the time

Drinks: black decaff coffee, still water, Asda rhubarb and custard flavour tea

Edited: Spelling

I’ve just baked my (low carb) contribution to go with coffee at PPG meeting later today. I made too much icing, do you more experienced low carb bakers think it’ll keep ok in the freezer. Ingredients are high % chocolate, double cream, unsalted butter, cocoa powder and vanilla Stevia drops, I made it up from a combination of recipes and ingredients I had in the cupboard!

Bed Tues 6.4 FBG 6. Just noticed I forgot Yesterday's as I was busy with the boys. They wanted to get a little gift for their Australian cousins who are heading back next week. They got a couple of books each - one I was laughing at "Things your Scottish Granny used to say". We all know "I want doesn't get" - I use that myself but I'd forgotten "Ay want gits hee haw". Loads and mostly very funny. Boys thought so too. They got gluten free jelly bellies too and really nice initial bookmarks.
B. Had a cooked breakfast - 2 Morrisons chicken chipolatos, slice GF black pudding, 4 Santini tomatoes, 4 button mushrooms, fried egg and a Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. 2 Tesco chorizo and gouda rollitos, 1 cream cheese with tomato and herbs (new in Tesco cream cheese ball dusted with this tomato/herb mix)
D. Thai red chicken curry with oomi noodles. Scoop of Breyer's cookies and cream with raspberries.
Today - Thursday
Bed 6.8 FBG 6 6. Finally got our flu jabs today. Running late as usual at the surgery but they did us together. Rushed back with Hubby, grabbed a quick slice of toast then off to aqua fit.
B. As above - slice Morrisons high protein wholemeal with lurpack (toasted). Pre school run Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Post aqua and post shopping (Hubby wanted more veggies for the scotch broth). Slice ox tongue, slice roast pork , egg mayonnaise, another of these Tesco cream cheese balls and 2 rollitos.
D. The last portion of my chicken, broccoli and spinach soup from the freezer.

The cauldron is prepped ready. I got tripe while I was out. I was overjoyed as it's so difficult to get. Decided out of my 3 tripe favourites I'm going to make the Italian version - trippa alla Romana. This will be for tomorrow. It's a lot easier to make now The tripe comes ready cleaned and scalded. I know many of you will be going Eew & Yuk at the thought of tripe but if you want to know how to make this delicious, spicy tripe dish I'll be happy to post it.
