What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Three hard boiled eggs, two slices toast and vegimite for breakfast.
Rissoles and mixed veggies, gravy for lunch.
Chopped up banana prawn mixed in shredded cheese omelettes for supper at six.

Glass of single malt before going to bed.
Strangely, I had hard boiled eggs as a morning snack/late breakfast on the way up to meet the above tagged members & mods plus some chicken bites?

I give that 10 / 10 feed, lovely finger licken goodness. ;)

You shoulda seen the rest.. This guy came round with Lamb, bovine cuts & chook. He was a pro.. :)

Thanx for the ten ten.. great meal. The lamb was minted. My wife was there & a fan of lamb.

How coincidential!
Like @Jaylee , I also had a fantastic meat fest at a Brazilian carvery, and like @Rachox I also forgot to take many pictures because I was too busy talking to wonderful friends I met for the first time outside the internet!

But I can add a picture of my plate of things from the cold buffet before the meat was brought in.
Yep, I went for the cold buffet. More cheeses (for my taste.) & few cold cuts & olives. Quality.

how many carbs in the cod fingers please? Are they home made or bought?
Hello,

What brand of cod fingers. “ fish fingers” to my understanding are “breaded??” There should be a a nutritional value on the back of the packaging, if shop bought?

If you would like to start your own topic on your enquiry? I or another member of the forum moderator team could do this for you.

Your post could get lost in this busy thread..

So glad so many of you just happened to be in the same place at the same time ;) and that @Antje77 Was warm and dry for at least one night.

B: yoghurt, seeds, berries and cream
L: 2 hard boiled eggs and tuna mayo (except this being the US turns out the tuna mayo had loads of dried cherries in! Managed to pick most of them out)
D: take out pizza, 2 slices, and 1 piece fried chicken. No excuses, just had to done. Watching bg with interest.

Covid still here but feeling a bit better

So glad you are feeling a bit better @MrsA2.

Not sure what food will be today. I have to go to a funeral (a bit daunting listening to the gale howling outside right now -winter coat time, I think). Bacon and egg before I go, I guess but there is to be food served after the funeral which, I am told will be soup and sandwiches. I'd rather just come home instead, but I am dependent for a lift on someone who will want to stay on to the bitter end. I am still debating whether to go or not. I would like to go to pay my respects, for his family's sake but it could run into an all-day affair which could be problematic for me.

If I don't go, I have food already cooked and ready to go - some of the "tagine" from yesterday and a big pot of green chicken soup.

Don't normally do food pics.

But I sat down at a table laid for 12 with @AndBreathe @Goonergal @Antje77 @Rachox @KennyA @VashtiB @Pipp & @EllieM

& tucked into a fantastic meat fest..

No pics from me but @Jaylee has snapped my favourite - Picanha. These guys know how to cook!
But I can add a picture of my plate of things from the cold buffet before the meat was brought in.
Just the meat for me!
My avatar is getting a sense of deja vu!
Your avatar did get a mention or two!

I’d had some yoghurt, cream and raspberries earlier and may have some of those later this morning but am still stuffed!

how many carbs in the cod fingers please? Are they home made or bought?
They are Sainsburys Taste the Difference and are 10g per finger, 30g if you have 3. They are the one treat I stick my neck out for as I love them since a child. Oc they could be h/m using cod fillet and a suitable lc crumb but I doubt for me they would be as tasty or authentic. Choices!

Just had the broth from the chicken soup for my breakfast. Innards seem to have settled down a bit so I thought I would risk it. Not been down long enough to tell the result. If it's OK, I'll have some more of the same.

Later, all being well, I will have some of the tagine - just a small portion.

Yesterday - Brunch of 1 small avocado, small piece of cheese, dinner grilled lamb chump chop (huge) with purple sprouting broccoli and cauliflower followed by 1 small Greek yoghurt, and a double brandy. I didn't half sleep well!

Today will be brunch of lumpy soup, dinner prawn stir-fry, with option of another small Greek yoghurt if necessary. Undecided about the brandy (or single malt scotch or 1 small glass of red wine) been teetotal since diagnosis a year ago so feeling my way about alcohol.

Odd breakfast for me as I was trying to put the remainder of last nights Thai curry into freezer boxes. Too much sauce so had it cold with a h/b egg that had been kicking around for a couple of days.
Lunch. A bit more normal, yellow sticker prawns and mackerel pate from M&S with SLC toast. Choc chia pud. Managed to swerve the jumpers while in there so feel that was a little win today.
D- cod fillet with lemon butter sauce and samphire. Less that 1 g carbs for this big pile of salty deliciousness. ( please don’t judge me on the plate! It’s terrible but it fits in the dishwasher which is the important thing)IMG_1092.jpg

Drove home today so breakfast at the hotel was full fat Greek yoghurt, chopped strawberries and cashew nuts.
Late morning: coconut cappuccino in a coffee shop and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and a food dr bar.
Dinner: leafy salad with samples of Dutch cheese, Dutch spicy sausage and Dutch mayo followed by SF blackcurrant jelly and cream.
Thanks to @Antje77 for the Dutch ingredients in my dinner, I particularly like the cheese with cloves in it :hungry:

I was rather hoping that you guys would all come back with similar avatars - just different colour jumpers behind the meat to identify the individual!
I wore my brand new Greenwich meridian shirt but I don't think it's in one of the pictures at the restaurant.

Food was chaotic today. Might have made a mistake with my insulin at some point, or maybe it's just the holiday making things unpredictable.

But apart from a couple of sensible slices of chorizo and a boiled egg I got to eat a small bag of crisps, prawn crackers, a couple of jelly worms throughout the day, and
the best thing, a small piece of cherry crumble!

It wasn't the best because it tasted good (it didn't, being a rather nasty prepackaged cherry crumble, and I don't even like cherry crumble).
But it was the best because I ate it in my neighbours' caravan at the camping, shortly after putting up my tent!

They walked by with their dog and I asked if I could pet it (it was a clear NO from the dog although it did want to sniff my pants), which led to me spending a pleasant hour in their caravan (and petting their other dog).
Went low, pretty much demanded something sweet, and out came the cherry crumble without them making a fuss of it or being overly worried, so very nice!

Was going to make sausages and arugola for dinner but it started to rain and my camping gaz was empty so I opted for a low carb sandwich with cheese, chorizo slices, lots of arugola and mayo.
Will ask the caravan people if they have a fridge for the sausages tomorrow. :)
