What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

How weird, definitely shows in for me! Just edited to remove personal details.
Do you think they are saving them for people who have an account?
Plenty at my favourites

@Antje77 I tried making my own but it was a right faff. Days of drying and then several failed attempts at cooking temperature and duration. If you crack it let me know..

Meanwhile I buy the Cheesies above and ration them
I'll definitely update you once I tried!

B- just coffee.
Mid morning more coffee as the post arrived with a lovely surprise package from a chum - DGF Crimbo Crumbles. I love these so of course had to have one immediately.
L- mince and onion fried together and topped with fried eggs.
D- lump of chuck steak cooked on top of onions in the slow cooker for 12 hrs. No liquid. Pulled apart with 2 forks and mixed with the juices. Quite delicious. Cauli and spinach with it. 1/2 a buttered not-cross bun

I have also tried making them with the same results as you. I gave up too.

I'll still have to try, can't have my neighbour dig up his dehydrator and not do my experimenting.
But being warned twice, I'll make a small amount as to not waste too much cheese.

Today was an easy meal, will be doing some real cooking again tomorrow. :)

Lidl had very thick cut bacon (not something normally available in the Netherlands, I had never seen anything like it until I visited the UK in october) so I had to try!
Had it with 3 very tiny eggs and a quick salad of arugola, tomato, cucumber, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper with halloumi. :hungry:

Hi there, Can I ask you if this is the diet doctor coconut porridge? Thank you x

I just chuck all the ingredients in a good non stick pan. Heat on a medium to high heat and stir continuously til a porridge like consistency is achieved.

The sausage and veg mixture was very tasty - lots of garlic - the bulb I had was very tough skinned and when I finally got into it, the whole bulb fell apart so I crushed 4 cloves and added them. The kitchen had a delicious smell of garlic when I got up this morning. I think I will make the same thing again this evening.

Breakfast was black pudding and fried eggs.

Lunch will be cauliflower cheese. Microwaved florets with some shallot and then grated cheese melted over it and some cream.

Managing to do bits and pieces this morning so, while I'm on a roll, I'll prep both meals for later.

Morning all. No bf just coffee with cream after fasting as long as possible. I need to pick your brains! My bedtime bg was 4.9 (never been that low) but my morning bg was 7.2. So what happened? I know about the liver dump so can only assume I'm eating too many carbs during the day and saving them? I feel I'm going backwards in understanding this diabetes. To stick with the thread, I'm having 2 boiled eggs with mayo and cress. Lambs liver for lunch.

Rosemary, it is the body being fiendish.

if it feels we’re going to low ( which for some isn’t that low at all), it’ll release some sugars stored in the liver, just to buoy the blood sugar levels a bit. It’s quite healthy and nothing for any great concern.

When that happens I often find myself running a smidge lower through the day, almost like I’ve used a bit of my liver’s “better” and it recharging from the first things I eat.

Thats how I look on it anyway. Don't be concerned.

I'm thinking of making a peanut soup and adding sauerkraut.

What do you think, good idea or not?
Not sure like sound of peanut soup so don't think appeals to me. Like sauerkraut with other things though! You'll have to let us know what it's like and what you used to make peanut soup.
