I haven't posted my meals since the weekend so a bit of catching up here, even if not very interesting.
Monday was a day to recover from my wonderful family weekend, and to find out if my newly found easier life extends to not having a horrible mental backlash from too much social stuff.
Apparently I'm all good!

Didn't do anything on monday because I was utterly tired, but other than that I didn't feel any of the usual dread.
Very easy evening meal of LC bread, stinky Muenster cheese and chorizo.
Back to work on the ship on tuesday, still no signs of depression, and I thawed last week's stew to have on a slice of LC bread, reheated in the microwave.
By now I'm very sure no mental reaction will come from the social stuff this weekend. It's so nice to be able to do stuff without being punished afterwards with days of a deeper depression!
Very early day at work today, starting at 8:15, because a crane was to come to lift the 25 meter mast from the ship. For someone who isn't used to getting out of bed before 10 or later, this is an early day.
I had a bit of a fight with a crowbar at 9:30, resulting in a heavily bleeding and painful middle finger. No drinking water on board, so I soothed the initial pain in a bucket of outside water, and then my skipper and I improvised some cushioned bandage which allowed me to keep on struggling with thick ropes and steel wire through the early afternoon. It's the kind of work I like, so I had a wonderful day!
The workday ended early (I only work half days, so the 6 hours I did today is more than the usual), and I made a GP appointment for right after work (I'm sorry, this is possible in my country, no use delaying stitches).
I made the GP laugh by walking in holding up my (bandaged and very dirty) middle finger and saying 'it hurts'.

To my surprise, she agreed with my treatment of sticking my hand in a bucket of outside water and a bandage!
I got two very painful numbing injections and two stitches on the pad of my finger, and the instruction to keep it dry, so I'm still stuck with my dirty work hands.

She also gave me two nice padded finger covers to use at work, which I'm sure will be useful.
Very realistic GP: she asked if I wanted to make an appointment in a week for removal of the stitches or if I was going to do it myself anyway. I told her I'll ask my neighbour, and if we can't pry them out I'll give her a call.
Today was the same meal as yesterday, the last of the stew with a slice of LC bread, no need for another picture.
