Tea this evening was a home-made chicken Jalfrezi, with cauliflower rice fried with diced onions.
Pensioner's Lunch. It was actually our Easter treat as we don't have lunch at Easter itself. Starter.. prawns in Marie Rose sauce with some salad. Main, 2 small roasties, pork steak, broccoli and carrot with apple sauce. My own pudding. We were all given a small Cadbury's Easter Egg which unfortunately I couldn't resist! I was given another one but I managed to give it away before I started on it! I haven't had ordinary milk chocolate for such a long time, I feel almost guilty of committing a crime!!
If I hadn't given it away, I'd have eaten it! No doubts anout that! It’s been years since I had milk chocolate too. I fear I’d never stop if I allowed myself a little Cadburys egg now. I think you did extremely well to quickly give the second one away.
I had an unintentional fairly high carb day yesterday, so I know what you mean. Like you I had lamb today. Well it was a lamb shank in red wine and mint gravy, with hispi cabbage, peas, carrots and a few sautéed potatoes. Blood sugar was +1.8 after two hours, so not too bad.Tea was ham sandwich and a yoghurt. I know the bread has put me up but I bought it in a 'fed-up' mood and wish I hadn't. I have lamb roast today with broccoli. Have a lovely Easter Sunday.![]()
