What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

We got back home from Cyprus at 9am having travelled overnight. Plum tuckered out today.
Missed my sheep’s milk yoghurt for breakfast. I tried to recreate the mood by having feta and cherry tom omelette.
Lunch was crackers ( made by microwaving cheese slices on parchment for 90secs) topped with pate and a few cherry toms.
Dinner chicken cooked with a white wine and mushroom sauce. Cabbage noodles and broccoli. We Drank the rest of the wine, don’t think I’ve ever felt so tired.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: coffee shop cappuccino and another carb killa bar.
Dinner: corned beef hash made with cauli rice in place of potato with cauliflower, broccoli and carrots.

Unsure whether to count the fried eggs at 7am as today or tomorrow as I did go back to sleep again for several hours :happy:

Since then, I've had 2/3 of a stupendous frittata containing all the veg that needed using up - chinese leaf, spring onions, red and green peppers, and some frikadellen (german meatballs) and gherkins.

Couldn't finish it so other third will do for later along with some salt and chilli chicken thigh and raspberry gourmet yogurt (naughty, but bought before diagnosis)

Usual 4 big mugs of tea with a splash of milk

Edit: postponing frittata/ chicken/ yogurt until morning to make it easier to take meds, having an extra cuppa instead. Hoping to be rewarded with nice BG numbers for all this restraint :cool:

Breakfast kefir then two poached eggs on one slice of LC toast
Lunch not very hungry - got quite hot painting the fence - so just had a few strawberries with a spoon of cold yoghurt
Dinner made a frittata served a piece with salad -some left for an easy lunch tomorrow

Just had a piece of hm LC lemon cake with a decaffeinated coffee.
 
Breakfast- 2 boiled eggs mashed with butter.
Lunch -not brilliant! last week of my ‘Wellness in Nature’ course which has been enjoyable but today everyone bought food to share for a picnic. I took strawberries not intending to have anything else but was tempted by a Higgidy spinach and cheese mini muffin (4g carbs) v nice, then had some carrot batons and hummus. BG was 9 when I got home. I should have known better!
Dinner leg of lamb roasted in the airfryer with airfried veg. Glass of Malbec.

Yesterday was an Experiment.

I had fried fish in batter!!! from the fish & chip shop. Husband had fish & chips. I had intended to have a couple of his chips but actually had no desire for them so didn't. The fish was delicious and the batter very thin. I didn't check BG two hours after first bite because I then had my usual 1 oz of 100% dark chocolate and there wasn't 2 hours after that before bedtime. Fasting BG today was 5.1 so all appears well for that as a very occasional meal. I hadn't eaten anything else that day.

Today I have had my usual Greek yoghurt brunch, and dinner will be roast lamb with green beans, cabbage and cauliflower. Followed by 1 oz chocolate eaten very slowly. Very happy that I can do this now. No intention of taking the carb experiment any further.

Lunch leftover piece of cold frittata - perfect after a morning of fence painting - very hot today. Followed this with a few strawberries and cream
Dinner Sea Bream with English asparagus served with generous dollop of avocado oil mayonnaise

Followed by a hm LC chocolate brownie and a decaffeinated coffee.

Fried egg, cheese slice and ham slice for breakfast.
Aquafit class this morning so hungry for lunch which was air fried chicken wings.
I was feeling quite full having eaten more of them than I intended when the family arrived with bbq stuff as it was such a lovely day. I didn’t expect to be able to eat anything but somehow managed a burger ( no bun) halloumi and some grilled courgettes.
