What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

@Jaylee, I don't understand this at all. How are you?
Hi @Alexandra100
I think @Jaylee could be wondering, as am I, why you don’t tell your fasting levels? I could be mistaken, though. Looks to me as if Jaylee is challenging you to report your next fasting level before he reports his. You could be in with a chance of coming first, as I seem to remember he is performing at a gig tonight, so perhaps will sleep late. Though knowing how he likes to win, possibly he will sneak in a test report in the small hours before he sleeps. As he will have fasted due to the gig.

just to be compliant with theme of the thread, I have a fasting tonight, of 5.3. Fasted since breakfast (16 hours ago) as feeling a bit out of kilter today.
If I left this another half hour, I would claim the win from both of you, but it is still Saturday night, not Sunday morning, so handing it over to you two. My money if I was a betting woman would be on Jaylee. :hilarious:

Hi,

Well funny enough.. Apart from treating yesterday's waking hypo. Breakfast was at 11am.

Yep, I did do that gig up in the West Midlands & this is pretty mutch how i ran on basal for the duration? (Meter concurs.)
In fact, since I last did my Lantus at around 1am yesterday & runnng late by a further 1.5 hours tonight.? But some report it don't do the 24 hours it says on "paper."
This is a bit of a surprise.. As it should have been tailing off. Fast now broken with a rather nice broccoli Stilton & mushroom thing my wife left for me..

@Alexandra100 , i realy wouldn't recomend Lantus if you ever unfortunately find yourself getting diagnosed D & prescribed the stuff.

@Pipp, I am superstressed at present and not well at all. The Forum has been a refuge, but I can't give the time and energy to respond to Jaylee's challenges. It's all too much.

This place should be helpful, not stressful. Taking care of yourself has to come first.

My number this morning - 5.2. Which is within tolerance of my 'normal' number. It looks a bit wild and wooly out there, but I'll be off out for a walk later, trying hard not to get blown to Oz ...

Good morning
New libre 7.6
Contour 6.2
Only a 2.07 mile walk yesterday & a lie in this morning @ianpspurs still managed 12,053 steps
The girl (with the username at least) Scott done good, Innit. If you're in Team D and fighting the good fight I'll always cheer you on whatever difference that may make. @Alexandra100 , hug and prayers for better days. @Estragon yay for the six back over the bowlers head:woot: @BrianDoc epic comeback:woot::woot::woot:

Hi,

That's a pity. I felt you would be fascinated by the reactions to a certain amount of exercise jumping around as a front man in a band does for me whilst fasting & running on basal.. Note what looks like a liver dump as the gig starts & gets underway? (In my earlier post.)
Then another blip as a was driving in high wind & rain down the M5 at the end of the night..

Just a "normal" response for me.. :)

I stopped posting on here after getting deleted, but still follow the regulars and I feel your frustration, dropping my carbs initially had a massive impact on my big numbers, but between last February and September I dropped my carbs from under 80 to under 20, my hba1c stayed at 42 and I didn’t lose any weight, since then I’ve gone to under 50 carbs, bought a Fitbit walk 10,000 steps every day, lost 2 stone and my hba1c dropped to 38 ... if you can manage to walk it’s worth trying.
I agree with what you have said about walking last summer I walked and walked about 5 miles a day lost weight just over a stone without much effort . My BP came down and my FBG was mainly in the low 6's .

8.2 this am still under the weather so I think that is the reason for the high numbers .

Oh, so sorry. The challenge was merely to post your fasting levels. Still, if that is too stressful for you, then I hope you soon feel better, and well enough to do so.
Sending best get well soon wishes.

Unfortunately I have not a clue as to my blood sugars as I am at present in the covid ward in the hospital I hope to survive this latest challenge and resume normal service soon.

Well, after 30 hours fasting, as I am feeling stressed by painful joints, and allergic reactions, I have a whopping 8.5 this morning.
No explanation. Fasting hasn’t helped. So going to feast on breakfast / brunch of eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, copious quantities of coffee. Then feast again tonight on beef, and red wine.
The temptation to stop testing and posting here is nagging away at me. That would be counter-productive, though so, I will keep on keeping on, and to steal a phrase from the resident cheer leader ianpspurs, I am smiling, and waving.:D. Or is it just that I am drowning?;)
