Herbed Chuck Steaks

Serves: 6

Method

  • Combine all marinade ingredients in a large bowl
  • Add chuck steaks and let marinade for 6 to 8 hours in the refrigerator
  • Remove steaks from the marinade and reserve marinade
  • Prepare an outdoor grill with an oiled rack set 6 inches from the coals
  • On a gas grill, place the setting to medium
  • Grill 14 to 20 minutes for rare, 20 minutes for medium, or 26 minutes for well done, brushing with reserved marinade
  • Carve into thin slices

To make Herbed Chuck Steaks, you'll need:
  • 2 lb boneless beef chuck steaks well trimmed MARINADE
  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp minced thyme
  • 1/2 tsp sugar Salt to taste Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
