Hot Water Cornbread

Serves: 6

Method

  • Combine cornmeal and salt; add water and oil
  • Mix well
  • Fry 1/3 misture on hot griddle or skillet coated with nonstick vegetable spray, pushing mixture into shape of a patty with back of spatula
  • Fry patties on both sides until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side
  • Serve hot.
