Method
- Mix together the ground sirloin with the water, pepper, and salt
- Form into 12 small patties
- Place 1 tablespoon of desired filling in the center of each of 6 patties
- Top each patty with one of the remaining patties
- Seal edges to secure filling inside
- Prepare an outdoor grill with an oiled rack set 4 inches above the coals
- On a gas grill, set heat to high
- Grill the burgers on both sides according to the following guidelines: 5 to 6 minutes for rare, 7 to 9 minutes for medium, or 10 to 12 minutes for well done.
