Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone
@mojo37, I read that the common cold may give some immunity against Covid, so congratulations!got a cold first one for years
@Ryhia, do tell!I had the worst evening out since going low carb
@JohnEGreen, so sorry, it was a slip of the finger. Of course I meant to hit the Winner button. Now, should I go back and correct, or not? I'm not sure of Forum etiquette here.@Alexandra100 I wasn't joking it really was 4.9 this morning give or take +/-15%![]()
No need I saw what you said but I knew what you meant.@JohnEGreen, so sorry, it was a slip of the finger. Of course I meant to hit the Winner button. Now, should I go back and correct, or not? I'm not sure of Forum etiquette here.
Great move to start testing. Keep on varying your meals and testing before and after, (writing it all down). The more data you have, the more you can learn, and the better Forum members can advise you. I suggest you experiment with a lower carb meal eg bacon, chicken, fish, meat (no bread). Most sausages do contain carbs (That info. will be on the packet.) I'm not saying you should never eat sausages and carbs, but for the sake of research try what readings you get with different levels of carb in your food.
@manhattan, Forum members are divided between those who re-use lancets and those who like a fresh one each time. Personally I am far too lazy and thrifty and ecological to change them at all often. When I began testing I ordered a big pack of lancets and I think at my current rate they'll more than see me out! Of course, if you wanted to share with someone else, a fresh lancet each time would be mandatory.200 lancets should last a wee while

@manhattan, Agreed! At one time all T2s were given free testing kits and strips whether they wanted them or not. A diabetic friend of mine didn't see the point of testing and used to throw away lots of his strips. More recently, under my influence, he has started ordering and using strips again, but now of course he has to pay for them. How he regrets those wasted strips! If only the NHS would give free testing supplies to those who can show they would make good use of them.just a shame type 2 diabetics can’t obtain test strips and lancets on prescription
Very good!Hi Lo, Hi Lo it's down the Stabbo we go![]()
