What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Bacon, two egg and cheese omelette, tomatoes, two slices of toast and vegimite for breakfast.
Shepherds pie, mashed pumpkin on my portion, green veggies for lunch.
Four fish fingers mashed on two slices of toast for supper at six.

Glass of highland fling before bedtime.

Phoned my podiatrist to get an appointment tto get my toenails cut, I managed to get a cancellation spot on Monday at 12:30 pm as a private patient. My health care plan run out last year. I have not gone and done the interview for a new plan at my GP's.

They need cutting badly as they are well overdue for a trim.

Where are you?
I looked a lot at prices when we were in the States in October and rarely found anything worth bringing home, except my beloved espresso choclate bars
In SE Asia.

I tend to use very little in terms of artificial sweeteners, and even lea so, as time progresses, so I noticed it, and was curious, rather than making a mental note to bring some home.

Last time in this neck of the woods I brought home a decent sized bottle so Stevia drops, as it was an excellent price. It is still in the cupboard, probably 95% full.

There are plenty of other retail temptations here that aren’t food focused, so I’ll still get my gadget and electronics fixes

Got home from holibobs late last night, we had dinner before we left to drive home, so I had my usual breakfast, a couple of cappuccinos and low carb snacks. One of the snacks were some cheese and bacon egg bites from Starbucks, yes I actually found something low carb in Starbucks!
Then dinner before we came home, see pic!

Today in the AndBreathe South Asia branch, the following was consumed.

Plenty of tea before 2pm, the to eat:

Brekkers: Me: Greek yoghurt with a couple of small pieces of mango. MrB the same, but much more mango
Lunch: Didn’t happen
Dinner: MrB had chicken with cashews in black bean sauce. I have a ginagerous pile of moo grob, with chilli sauce. No rice (for either of us). MrB had a beer.

When it arrived I thought my pork had a tempura style dressing. It didn’t. It was just the salty crust to aid the crisp. Very delicious, but I may be very thirsty later.

we had planned to eat at the local yacht club this evening, but found it closed for refurbishment. Never mind.

No pics today, too busy scoffing!

Meal 1 was a Yummzy keto cupcake with extra thick double cream
Meal 2 was air fried pork belly pieces
Not quite meal 3 was a single slice of leftover pizza from yesterday. In between 2 and 3 was a 25g bar of Moser Roth 90%. Don’t like it as much as the previous 85% - it’s drier and more brittle. The fact I’ve had I’ve had 2 packs of 5x25g bars in the flat since Wednesday and only 50g has been eaten says it all :hilarious::hilarious:

Breakfast: should have been a mushroom omelette but turned out as a mushroom/egg mess. Alistair came in just as I was making it and I just chucked it all into the pan and stirred it around - didn't even bother breaking the eggs first. It was OK and filled a gap. It was late because I had taken insulin about 10 am in readiness but then completely forgot that I hadn't actually eaten anything until about 12. Silly me. BG on the Libre was 3.8 by then and it started beeping at me. Didn't check with fingerprick - I was still feeling OK so it wasn't hypo low.

I was going to make some soup for 2nd meal, but my left leg/hip is not co-operating today and standing is proving to be a bit of a problem so whatever I do have, it will have to be uncooked. Maybe a sandwich - ham? cheese? All easily reached from the table without having to stand up.

Em is here - she had a bit of a melt-down today. She was left at home with her elder brother and had slept in until after lunch time and when she woke she found she was alone - brother had just decided to go out after all. She then tried to phone me and, for some reason couldn't get through (she did, in fact, but she got the answerphone because I couldn't get to the phone in time). On the answerphone I could hear her panicking but she couldn't hear me, or Neil when he tried to get through to her. Then, of course, she didn't hang up, so we couldn't phone back. Eventually though, she did hang up and found a different phone and tried again. Our phone rang and this little voice asked "Grannie, can I come up?" She's here now and quite happy and will go home in a while when her dad comes to collect her. She does have a tendency to panic Still, a cuddle, an ice cream and a cup of tea seems to have sorted it for her.

Em is here
Have Em cook you a nice ham and cheese fried egg, nothing better to get over feeling small, scared and alone than helping a grown up for real!

I was going to cook but then I didn't.
I guess dinner will be two slices of low carb bread, one with grated raw celeriac and mayo, one with bacon and egg mayo with almost the last of the pickled eggs bought on my holiday. :)

Second Christmas in our house today - for those who didn’t come away with us for first Christmas.
Brunch before they arrived- cheese omelette ginger&turmeric sauerkraut.
Dinner- super bit of brisket, unrolled, bone in, slow roast overnight. Meltingly tender and delicious, wish I could post a smell here. Served with cauli cheese, puréed swede, sprouts&pancetta, green beans&garlic&almonds.
For pud I made the DietDoctor Oven Baked Low Carb Spanish Cheesecake. It is very good, but I learnt last time to only add half the amount of sweetener they suggest. Raspberries and blueberries with it. IMG_1702.jpg

Brisket sounds divine and that cheesecake looks delicious!

Early yoga
Cwc, then I tackled cleaning the oven.
3 hours later...
Cheeses with seedy crackers, some pickles , a teaspoon of kimchi, 1 stuffed courgette from a tin. It was stuffed with rice but not much.
Too many new things in one meal as digestion obviously getting a work out and I don't know what the culprit was.

D: pizza on fathead dough using spicy chicken and peppers from yesterday's fajitas. Love it when a plan comes together.
Coffee ice cream. 1 glass red wine

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee
Late morning: black coffee and a carb killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and an Aldi protein bar.
Dinner Chinese take away: crispy duck, 3 small pancakes, 3 prawn crackers, a smidge of sauce and veggies followed by DGF lemon drizzle cake and cream.

I thought you were going to say you’d had it 2 years, but then only an insane person would do that, non? :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::angelic::angelic::angelic:
